8 hr / 12 hr qualifer back. Gave us a chance to make some cash and spend time with the family. Gee what a concept.

GF hope you'll take a strong look at the NEW DIRECTION SLATE . I know you have issues with some posters but You know

what our current leadership has said and done to us over the years. the New team can't be any worse. I know your a short timer

but some us still got another 10 to put in.
 
HP once again that is randy babbling total B/S .. the most vacation ANY fleet will get is 4 weeks provided you in your 14th yr.
and just so Randy knows . YOU earn your vacation in the same year you take it. so if you bid 3 weeks and take it say jan/feb/mar

and then go out on med sep/nov/dec guess what YOU owe the company 6 days pay and THEY will take it all at once out of your check.

Once again Randy doesn't even know the work rules HE supposedly neg.. Reason 124 why he has to go.
At UA we accrue our vac in a calendar year (2007) to be awarded the following year (2008). My question is if I was hired Feb 2008 then would I get a paid 1 or 2 week vacation the same year, 2008? That sounds better than UA.
 
You would bid 1 week vac and have 3 dat days. you would only accrue 8 days in 08.
 
Message to Once Around. Your attempt to get align the west with Canale and
his "team" is offensive to me. The thousand or so west employees getting
significant geografic pay were lied to by your friends in the IAM. Many voted
against thier own self interest because of the misleading statements made by
RR and MR. Do not confuse your own personel agenda to "get back" at
personalities you deemed to have personally offended you with what's
right for FS.

It is particular offensive to me that you misrepresented yourself. But that
seems to be par for the course with Canale's side. If Canale's team
had not been so defensive from the start they would not be in this
fix. I personally do not blame either Canale or P. Rez for our problems.
In my view we are doing fine just how we are. Some things I wish
were different, but my main goal at this point is to change DL 141`for the
better especially in regards to integrity. No more back room deals and
no more personality cults. Thanks BF

How cool would it be to have CLT have randys implementation committee and Delaney here on the same

day . I know Randy won't share a good ole break room debate with you . But how about Delaney . But I'm guessing the

implementation committee will bypass both phl and clt since we already KNOW WHAT THE CONTRACT SAYS..... they are just

going to hit the warm and sunny citys to get some free campaign time 😳 sorry it's not free its on OUR DIME . to try and

get some last minute votes for there sinking ship.

challenge to those cities that see the so called empty suits of randys coming around ask them 5 things Randy and his team has

done to the positive for our membership in the last 10 yrs.

After pondering it for a while...you will be glad to know that the New Direction has my vote. Sad part is that I'll be surprised if we get a good turn out at my stn. Ppl just don't care anymore....

You guys on the east dont know our current contract. If I was hired in Jan 08 under the west contract I dont get vacation time until 09. So therefore I earned vacation in 08 under the west contract for 09 and recieve my vacation as well under the new agreement in the same year effectively giveing me 6 weeks as a 9yr employee.

Thanks for the info. also at UA it takes 17yrs to get the 4th week. Your's is looking better every day.

Don't jump to quick on our new contract. You would lose your DT, holidays and rate of pay just to name a few.

To answer your question...YES! You are right us senior east guys have been living the goodlife, going thru about 4, maybe 5 paycuts (sorry I lost count), not to mention benefit reductions, vacation reductions and surviving the last 2 bk's. It's been the goodlife watching all the hard work we've put into this pos company destroyed piece by piece by the CEO du jour. Then watching the CEO of the day fly away into a golden parachute never to be seen or heard of again. Funny? Entitlement is not the first word that comes to my mind but it's been lot's of fun! :up:

Oh and by the way.....before you even start on AWA pay....I know it sucked but I was one of the few on this board who did everything in my power to change that with the last T/A vote....so don't even go there with me....

What are you talking about. You are NOW under the IAM contract and trust me you won't be getting 6 weeks pay . If you hired

before the 15th of jan you will get 2 weeks vac this year. If you use the vac before the year is out and quit or leave it will be deducted

from your final paycheck. I'm not sure what your reading or interpreting but thats how the IAM contract works. I KNOW MY CONTRACT

trust me . I have to go out and enforce it with management everyday.

The TWU contract is null and void except where the language is transitioned to the east.....so sorry.....nobody gets 6 weeks....no matter what the situation.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, oncearound, but ORD is the size of PHL, CLT, LAS, PHX all put together. It has 4,500 voters and about 1/4 of the membership of the entire District, and even though Boss Canale has a payroll of over $1 million [9 full time staffers] in ORD, he will feel 'great pain' here in ORD. We had over 50 photos of at least 15 workers in each photo showing their support in front of our banner for the new direction. We could have got much much more.

Canale tried to do a support picture in a Chicago breakroom by hiring some TSA part-timer to take some photos with some Canale banner, but so far they can't get anyone to hold up their banner here in ORD. I'd personally like to see him get a photo in Chicago so we can see who actually supports him from the ORD UA ramp.

Canale himself came into the ORD breakroom [introduced himself as the United Board of Director] and almost incited a riot until he finally was shown the door. In short, we don't like him here in ORD. This is chicago, not phx....we operate different. Thankfully, the Local 1487 officers [AG, JB]showed up and established control over the situation [Trust me, Canale was very lucky they showed] and settled down the masses as they were growing loud and restless.

At any rate, the greater the participation in a union, the stronger the union, so go out and vote for whoever you think will serve you the best in the future.

Chicago is Delaney's. Bottom line. This I know 100%.

I wouldn't worry to much about what Tim Nelson thinks didn't he say the TA was going down....scorced earth...great pain... it never came to be. He is correct ORD does have approximately 4500 voters. However only 1000 total vote. Most of the Rampers in the ND photos are the only support the no direction has and that would be about 25 people including AG's wife who is a manager at UAL responsible for discipline and contracting out work.

None of the information about the pictures or the banner or the breakroom is correct it is all fabricated by TN. One last thing TN should not pretend to speak for UAL Ramp in ORD he got all of 10 votes out for the ratification.
