Giants fan---
The company did not allow the ramp agents to vote in the breakrooms. I think the turnout they got at the lodge was great considering that they had to drive over to Essington to vote. The company did not allow you to leave the property on your shift.

I know that hiring is at a standstill on the ramp right now. Cannot speak for the 900 or so who didn't make it over but can positively say they would prefer not to lose their jobs leaving the property and I am sure Management had their "narcs" watching every door in every building. They even have their "narcs" at times on top of the pay parking lot with binoculars. You think I am kidding?

Only in PHILLY. I am proud of the turnout. It would have been a different amount if they could vote in breakrooms as the WEST and I am sure your city could.

I live 40 miles from the airport and I went in on my day off just to vote....

I'm sure voting lasted more than 8 hrs....I'm sure they could have went b4 or after their shift....please stop with the excuses....

giants, there was NO EXCUSES for the company to not allow the voters to vote in their own breakroom. That should have been allowed but no the company stooges probably had sharshooters with high tech digital cameras ready to aim and then fire the employees for leavign airport to go vote

You want proof that Vegas is on the chopping block, just fly out of there on a Friday night. I did last night and the place wasa GHOST town.

Also, a friend of mine in upper management informs me that they are getting rid of 100 fleet and 100 customer service very soon in LAS.

PHX, I fear our time is nearing as well... Why would they keep us when we are "marginally profitable" and keep LAX and SFO which are major international hubs?!

This merger will be about consolidation, if you are having any doubts about that, go read the DL/NW merger page explaining why their merger was better than the recent DL/US merger.... Doug Parker's business model is about cutting off hands, while THEIRS is about keeping what they already have and THEN some! They DID just get a 3% raise... When was YOUR last raise?

I smell a rat.

Couple comments for ya. First, no one flies out of vegas on a Friday. They fly in. If you want to see busy, try to fly out on a Sunday. Bring a sleeping bag too and a pillow. Second, no staffing worries in Phx. We are slated for new hires coming out of class every two weeks through until September so I really doubt that we need to worry about jobs being lost. Las is the same. They are hiring right now. Don't know who your friend is but I think they may have some facts mismatched. Also, for you hub comment it boils down to one thing, cost. Phx has always been dominated by awa and swa they own more gates in phoenix than all the other carriers combined. This affords them perks from the city and the city wants to keep them here. Phx is much much cheaper than sfo and den cheaper in landing fees, use fees, fuel, ECT. Add perfect weather and you have the making of a perfect hub.

With United looming in the wind, reservation centers will go to INDIA. They don't want the headache of a reservation center in the U.S. , their history shows that. Usairways history is notable on how quickly they close down res centers in weeks.
We are in for big changes everywhere everyone. Like I keep saying, put on those seatbelts, we are in for the ride of our lives!

Had the IAM voted that TA down, there would have been much better leverage in a merger situation. Looks like the only ones sticking to their guns are the flight attendants. KUDOS.

The practice of allowing… some… selected Stations to vote on property, while making others vote off property, was simply a means orchestrated, by the IAM, and the Company, to assure a stronger ratification outcome… period !

Listen to this carefully… The IAM has shown us (Fleet) their true colors with the afore mentioned practice. All you have done... is reaffirm, and permanently imprint the Membership's distrust in this Union.

You can come up with what ever explanation you please… but we all know what is up!

I told you once…and I’ll tell you again… Transparency is the very virtue that your origination (IAM) has refused to accept as a demanded change from this Membership.

The days of (IAM) Officers, being loyal to Mr. Canale… for their own personal financial gain, and security are over!

We (Fleet) will go to whatever lengths are necessary to have you removed!

In case you did not know, most of PHL newbies do not have any type of vehicle. they rely on public transportation! After all they do not make enough to eat. So if anyone should have Voting on the property, it should be everyone not just LAS,PHX or PHL! EVERYONE OR NO ONE!

Yeah, your right I will let it go. Maybe we will go fishin one day inTPA. WE both can remember when it was a class 1 station and scabs weren't working our aircraft!
