I agree and disagree with that.

I disagree with accusing the no voters (especially ones on this board) of saying they were voting no but not doing it. We had A LOT of no votes. I think Roa, Dirt, O-man, and a lot of others ran a really tough & formidable vote no campaign.

However, I do agree that ppl think of themselves mostly when voting in a contract. They have to.... ppl are hungry out there. They threw us a porkchop and we bit, myself included!! I was one of the biggesst YES supporters. I needed a porkchop right now and with my senoirity I don't worry about furloughs as much. (Not to say it's not possible however I think unlikely)

Is that a union way to think....hell no but it has become my reality. My personal exspenses...gas for my home, gas for my car, electricity, food costs, etc, have skyrocketted. And I know I'm not alone out here. If I am already a topped out eastie in a class I station, I truly cannot imagine how these families did it in class II stations or out west. Again, I needed that porkchop, and was NOT convinced they would be back to the table. But don't be too hard on me folks...3 out of my last 5 stations have been outsourced....I have been there & done that...I know it's no fun.

Also...a shoutout to Tim Nelson...I haven't been his biggest fan nor have I gone easy on him...but his words that he has expressed since the unofficial results have come in are 100% class. He is a TRUE union brother.
GF: I have no doubt that PHX LAS and the Class II stations are going to be happy
about the raise. Good for them. My only gripe is that the West stations with
significant Geo diff IMO were deceived by the threat of rolling the west into the
east contract. No union official I heard was forthcoming on this subject at all.
They all knew the complications of that kind of thing and they were perfectly happy
to allow the impression that it was inevitable had this TA not passed. I talked
to someone in PDX and I was the first person they talked to that challenged
the IAM on this issue. I haven't talked to any other stations in this situation
but my guess is that they thought the same.

Congratulations everyone! We now have the Walmart contract of the fleet industry..Dougie gives a big handshake for more cost nuetral power you have given him.

The 141 website in the q & a section states that the results will not be in until the 14th of May.

Congrats to all my brothers and sisters. We are one now and its time to stand together as one. As everyone here knows I was a big proponent of the no vote. I was very clear for my reasons. I will stand tall and proud knowing I did everything I could to push for the no vote. Now that is said its time to move forward and embrace our future together. We are truely one group and I am proud to call each and everyone of you my brother or sister. It no longer matters which side you stood on because we are all now on the same side.

Hey Roa,

your catchy slogan..."VOTE NO for this MO FO"....

could still be utilized in June for the elections....can it not??????

Naaawww....

It's gonna be.... Vote ...YO.... on our MO-FO's !

How many LOA's do you think are already drawn up and ready to go?

Just curious were these no shows mostly new hires ?

For the most part yes, but some agents with time also did not vote. Many
individuals decided to stay on property and watch TV on thier break rather than
go to vote. Today, thier the ones' asking ''are you serious'' when they heard
the results.

Again...sorry about Phl. 950 people just didn't care enough to vote.

Thanks

Oh well, there's 950 +++ that have to live with the POS T/A...and can't say a word...thanks to those who cared enough to vote.....

Man, if we thought the feelings between US and HP were bad. This is going to be one pier 6 brawl with the UA people.
I work in a small station so I see the same people everyday, kinda like the Bill Murray movie "Groundhogs Day" and it took two years for a UA employee to give me the ole' polite drive by ramp wave, with no eye contact.
It wasn't until they heard of the merger that they came over to say "Hello" oh, and by the way, 'Here's our seniority list, can we compare ours with yours?"
This is going to be a rough ride....
And to all of my new brothers and sisters... a polite ramp head nod to you all.

The UA folks have no layoff in their contract, guess who goes first??Way to go yes voters...that's my last post on the subject.....Good Luck All........................

Im willing to say that if a UA and US merger does happen, a ton of cities will shut down affecting many employees--id say west be hard hit thanks to the new POS garbage. dont need to hear them whinning and crying about job losses because they voted this garbage in
