i hear ya kamchaser. i was one of many fsa that lost the pension if you will. but of course dp and his cronies could care less, especially about the employees. side not wonder how many would feel if they were to say go back to the 99 agreement andbuild on that rather than build on the current crappy ch11 contract

All work groups had their pensions reduced upon termination and turned over to the PBGC, a friend of mine who is an A330 Capt lost a $2 million annuity.

Psycho babel. You sure love to hear yourself talk don't you. The fact is, and these are purely facts, every Fleet Service Agent got their pensions reduced. Those are the facts. I can't speak for other work groups but the Fleet Service Agents that were employed by US Airways prior to the merger had their pensions reduced. You can analyze it and distort it and put your spin on it or whatever goes on in that little beady head of yours but THE FACTS are the pensions were cut. What part of that don't you understand. The people that lived it and are living it now bear that out. What is your objective to keep stirring things up and to deny the facts? Does Dougie gives you little pats on the head for your moronic babel? I'll probably get a time out for this but it sure feels good!

His "objective" is simple... interrupt, derail, and distort. We all know the reason!

Has anyone heard anything about being fined for unattended carts of cargo or mail left on the ramp? Also about beltloaders pulled up to planes with no one around monitering them?

The Postal Service can fine an airline for leaving registered mail unattended on the ramp. Those are typically the red and blue cases. That is a huge fine, about $10000 iirc. Don't know about the rest.

As long as the beltloaders are turned off and chocked, there shouldn't be a problem if it's during a turn. There are policies regarding securing a "sitter" that I won't go into detail here, but I'm sure failing to follow those procedure could lead to a fine.

Word is it's going on in Charlotte this week. Folks are only working their scheduled shift or picking up swaps. "Word on the street" was that the admin. manager had a meeting with the union people thinking some thing was going on as they have very few people signing up for over time. People are choosing to stay away & enjoy time with family & friends.

mgmt cannot tell people to sign up for ot and if they want to have a family gathering thats fine. mgmt needs to back off and leave them alone.

Happy July 4 holiday weekend to everyone. No matter what company employs you plan to spend it with the most important people on earth, your family. Only work if you're scheduled.

One would think that folks aren't signing up just because it's hotter than Satan's soft and wobblies.

So...what gives in CLT? I see that for the past month or two, the on-time performance hovers around 35-45% each day. One would think that after seeing this trend for a week or two, the problem would be addressed, but a month or two? Is that stupid personnel planner spread sheet to blame, creating a work schedule that just simply does not work? Why is the problem being ignored? ... or what REALLY is the problem. Just a curious observer.

So the negotiations committee is to sit down on July 13 to start the process of getting Fleet Service a new contract. Any guesses how long and drawn out this will be?? Let the timer start in one week and we will see how long it takes. Hopefully, during the interim, the company doesn't slash a few more cities off the map before we get to the end of negotiations. Betcha they are sharpening the axe right now! I can think of at least 5 stations that are near fatal in terms of contractual amount of mainline flights...

It took awhile for them to listen, but I think the numbers finally got to them. I hear from a reliable source, that clt has up to 4 classes with 20 people each getting ready to start training. Also they are upgrading, and taking Ft transfers into the station. Better late than never I guess.
