I think you mean... "I have finally obtained authorization from the Company to attempt to discredit the IAM just before negotiations!"

My Dear Mister Roabilly,

So it would appear that I was correct in my information I provided to you several months that scope will be the primary focus of the next round of negotiations per what one of The Grand Poobahs of the IAM told me last year; contrary to what people as yourself who have clung to the idea of more pay and benefits and anything else would be another sell-out. However, there is the usual trade-off with higher wages and benefits versus work rules and scope. Boss Canale understood this dynamic, and frankly, most rampers are looking for money, not the ability to transfer to ICT, OMA or SGW.

Do you really think the company is going to allow the mainline rampers to handle the low-paid work of regional jets without some serious concessions in our pay? Frankly, I think we were fortunate enough to have the minimum average weekly dropped from 70-something mainline flights per week down to the 30-something mainline flights per week for a station from the last CBA, not to mention, the Draconian 60-day rule for furloughed workers.

Scope will be very important… but it will be the Membership who will decide the primary focus of negations through the proposal process. A definitive direction will be ascertained from this method for the aggregate of the ENTIRE Membership… yes this includes the SMALL stations.

The Union will then know what the Membership wants… not what Canale wants or wanted.

Good post. It will be us that decides the outcome. There is no reason that we cannot make progress other than the fact FUP is greedy. Pay is important to us all. Scope is important to us as well. I say get both. It is short sighted to allow scab airlines to take over small stations and gain a toe hold. They build their resources flying to the hubs and eventually go after the hubs. Sorry I dont buy the company bull of cheap and disposable. We have to protect our frontier to save our majors that is the way to win the war. The company loves having refugees coming into hubs for many reasons. It can cause an upheaval among workers and changes the established dynamics, ie work areas, vacations just to name a few. We need to get scope and pay.
 
Ok, I said i would provide information, here it is, do you know your District allowed MC to take "personal time" for approximately 3 months with full pay? would any member represented by the IAM at US be compensated for FULL PAY for a 3 month absence?? MC also represents PHX and most west coast stations... Has anyone ever seen him in their station or at a local meeting besides SAN?? MC is a disgrace to the membership, and dues payers have a right to ask what is going on. Membership should not be intimidated in the work place and that is what is happening in PHX due to lack of leadership. Next week I may post internal emails.......

Do you know why MC had to take "personal time". You should be ashamed if yourself. As for PHX. PHX asked for and got RR to be their representation. If now you are saying that he, that being RR, and PHX, bit off more than they could handle buy asking for that, oh well. I remember when NH was the AGC for PHX. He was there quite a bit, and what did he get from the PHX GC? Nadda. Now you want the IAM to show a presence there. Why shoud they. PHX clearly thinks that they stand alone and can handle anything that comes their way. Seem like PHX threw the baby out with the bathwater. As for MC being a disgrace to the membership, you couldn't hold a candle to him. He and all of the AGC's here at US do a thankless job & get nothing but grief. And all of them are are exceptional at doing their job. Why don't you ask the PHX GC why PHX is stuck with RR. If they don't answer PM me and I'll tell you. The only sad thing here is, the AGC's will fight for you even though you won't fight for them. You truly make me sick. Keep up the good work boy's. Most of us got your back. I know I do.

haven't been on here in a long time but I see that some of the old "regime" is still trying to swallow that bitter pill of defeat.
I personally worked with NH back in the day when PIT was actually a HUB and can say that HE Busted his a** for his stations
I do remember one thing he did was get the time clocks on the other side of security so his membership would not be late.
but what did he get for trying to bring the west into the fold nothing but flack. H*ll the GC out there even went behind
his back to pimp MW (what a joke) . the man never even won a shop steward election but was one of Canales boys so he gets a free pass. BS
All I can say is you REAP what you SOW. PJ is right the phx membership screamed for west coast rep and they got him in RR.. now live with it.
NH is our agc and I am very happy happy to know that we have someone who won't sell out to corporate BS..
