Thanks for proving my point P.F. (Goldenham) How does the song go? Na...Na....Na....Na.....Hey Hey Goodbye. Battling with you would almost be immoral.

I am not Pat! The person you refer to sold out the Ramp many moons ago when he was part of the group that allowed B Scale on the property. Come to think of it, how many of your leaders allowed that travesty to take place?

JESTERS IN MANAGEMENT YOU MORON !!!!!

ROFL!!!!

As I stated, I think, in my very first post to this board... I am not management. Never been management. Never been even a temp supervisor. I am part-time only and at these wages, I could not afford to be full-time. In fact, I wouldn't consider being a permanent supervisor given the hassles of babysitting hundreds and at wages which are meager. If you review my posts, you will discover my desire to push Parker for wage and benefit parity, calls for Section 6 to be continued and force a strike if necessary. If that's a "management" person to some, then I don't know what to convince you of otherwise.

I don't know Goldenram or anyone else from the East coast operations or even those active within the IAM to any great extent, but I was going to post before Goldenram provided a compliment, that I think his view is fairly accurate. Keep in mind that I have also been very critical of Boss Canale for which I consider to be IAM's unwillingness to push for West to have a reasonable contract on parity with East. I have also supported failed the IBEW card signing. Again, all of my posts can be reviewed on this board.

On an unrelated matter I find the petty sniping about me to be amusing given the original assumption of me being unscathed from job related injuries only to be called the "clumsiest or dumbest ramper" because of several relatively minor injuries overly nearly a decade. My view is simple: If you aren't feeling it, then you aren't doing it. No pain, no gain.

And finally, when the PHL Specials arrive, it must be the "dumb" rampers in the bins doing the download that mix-up the locals and the CONX into one stack. Because I am making the assumption when they interlock their fingers as a signal to the runners below, which I thought means "mixed up bags", it really means the first part of "this is the house, this is the steeple, open the doors, there's all the people."

So corrects Jester.

Jester,
Then why do you flip-flop about parity for the west, the state the we should take what we can get, management won't budge, yada yada yada. It's the I'll Ask Management that won't budge for Fleet Service, but the will lay down for management, take all the concessions that that the company wants from us, and get us barely anything in return. We are clearly upset at the company/I'll Ask Management for this. And you seem to agree with them, them being the company/I'll Ask Management about what we are entitled to. And yes we are entitled to these things. All we are asking for to start with is an industry standard wage, and some decent scope language. But only if we do not have to "pay" for those changes.

I don't think anyone ever said they agree 100% with what is being done. People need to recognize the seriousness of the situation and accept what is out there. Nothing is perfect, and no matter what you will never go back to 1999 or 1989 work rules! There are certain things that can be achieved, but not all that some on this board think they can get, that is just foolishness.

Why shoud we "accept" what is being offered? Please elighten us with your wisdom oh golden one. What was offered was concessionary in nature. The next one probably will be also. So why should we accept something that is concessionary? For what purpose would that help fleet service out in the long run? Please, lets see some of that wisdom golden one.

Jester is either an AGC, probably KA, but I'm quite sure who Goldenram is. At any rate, both are management even if they don't know it. They may be in denial but just don't know it. If they speak the language of management then they are management. Bottom line.

Good thing is that Parker's boy and his traveling circus clowns will be 'exercised and rooted out'......'soon enough.' They are the enemy and they are management.

Valid question, PJ.

I like to think that I have a balanced view of the situation. For example, someone asked how much pay would be enough for respect and I posted that I thought the current contract given the skill set involved, the education required, the amount of downtime, median income in the US, etc. (all of which I have posted and available with a search) was reasonable. However, IAM has not delivered the goods to the West, and nor, do we seem to be a high priority after two years of waiting, given our fortunes have been tied to East instead of working for West separately and taking away West's Section 6 hammer in the process.

I'll say it again, I want to make as much money as the next guy, but I also don't want to be the highest paid rampers in the industry to the last day they shutter the company's doors forever. Parker has stated in pilot meetings that he will not allow the company to repeat the mistakes of airlines in the past who paid rather generous salaries and benefits to the point where nearly all of the legacy carriers (along with their legacy cost structures) were forcing to file bankrupty. I believe him, and frankly, I wouldn't dismiss the idea that he would eliminate ramp operations to a subcontractor either. There needs to be a balance between getting what you can and getting replaced.

So philosophically speaks Jester.

goldenram,
I really do not care "who"you are. What I do care about is you trying to sell canoli's and the company's snake oil to Fleet Service. I respect Jester, at least he defends his opinions and views, unlike you, you defend the company's views and appear to sell us out to the company whenever you get a chance. IMO you need to go to the Betty Ford clinic to ween yourself off the kool-aid.

then back to the original question I asked 3 pages ago. IF your not an AGC then what is your position within fleet service..

not a hard question to answer.. tell ya what I will go first .. I am a ft fleet service with 24 yrs of service.

see golden , not a tough question .

mike ,
31 yrs . pretty impressive I hope to be gone after 30 yr. we'll see. You obviously started with a regional that turned into a major

that now has turned back into a regional. all with never quitting. That is so sad. Never thought I would work for a major only to be

raped into a small time mickey mouse operation.

congrats on 31 yrs

may your back be strong , your knees not buckle , and your rotator rotate.

so says the O-man

Yep. Put two kids thru college with this job when things were good. Can't afford to startover. I see this company taking too much advantage when

the "taking" is over with. Its people like our CEO and his band of thieves that are raping its employees. This week may very well be the end. One can only

hope that it's not. Our solidarity will be tested.....
