Is There Anything Good About Qik/Shares ? We want to know

A screwup like Qik/shares would not happen on SW. Herb Kelleher has too much respect for his employees and would never put them in an embarrassing situation like US has done to their employees.
 
Just got done a 6 day stetch every city and every agent calls it a major disaster, a step back in time as one agent siad it's kinda what he had at Eastern. TEMPE is scewing this place up!!!!!!!!!!( but it does save the company a dollar a month)

Have to laugh, just got 2 phone calls within 10min from the automated res system advising me that my flight was going to be 75min late departing. They were absolutely correct about the late departure, the funny thing is I took the flight 3 days ago!!! :up: :up:

Have to admit its only the 2nd time I have been contacted advising me my flight was going to be late, too bad the info came 3 days after the fact!!!

why can't people just take the time to learn before bitching? I'm sure if we had gone to Sabre there would be a learning cuve for west agents as well. And there would have also been issues related to the cutover. The only difference is it wouldn't have affected the whiny east employees.

Well, it would usually make sense to switch over to the system which the majority of employee's have been using. Don't worry about us "whiny east employee's", but rather those pissed off passengers from those tiny little eastern cities of Phl,Clt,Bos,Pit,ect,ect. Does seems like we took a step back in time with this system, had nowhere near the problems with pacer/sabre switch.
 
This system is a pig. Dress it up, stick lipstick on it, do whatever you want...It's still a pig.

And you have proof of that . .where?? Again, west employees would be going through a big learning curve with sabre. And although the migration MIGHT not have been as big an issue if we stuck with Sabre, it still coudl have been. Remember, the kiosks in LAS (always a Shares city) were also affected. If we had cutover to Sabre, it's very likely these same issues (or other ones) would have occurred.
