I agree the alergy can be pretty bad. 15 -20 years ago a restaurant in PVD thicked their chilli with peanut butter, and a customed died almost instantly. They never thought to aske if the chilli contained peanut butter.
But people with this alergy also needs to be prepared because if I want to eat my peanut M&Ms on a flight I should have that right.
AW700 is right its just peanuts. But as Piney said where does it stop.
Part of the problem with almonds, it they cost much more, and usaully processed in the same plan as peanuts, so same problem.
Look on some candy wrappers, I think plain M&Ms are one that states they are processed in the same plant that also processes candy with peanuts, so it can be a big issue for a very small portion of the population
