Would that be the UAL scabs? Because the majority of UAL pilots know all about America West and where they went.


America West Airlines, in an unusual deal, has loaned two of its jets with crews to strike-bound Ansett Airlines, an Australian carrier that owns one-fifth of America West's stock.

The transaction comes at a time when Congress is looking into airline acquisitions, including the relationships between foreign and U.S. airlines. Although the deal hasn't aroused any concern, it is an example of how closely U.S. and foreign airlines can work together.
They do, and the WEST would SCAB in a CONTINENTAL minute!

Any furloughed pilot that does not "take a job" asap somewhere at US Airways (do you all like that phrasing better?) is taking a great risk. The musical chair tune is about to stop at any.......

As a result of Judge Silver ruling on USAPA’s behalf, the union, through President Hummel and our attorneys have reached out to both the West Class attorneys and the PHX Domicile Chairman seeking their willingness to sit down and have good-faith discussions with the union on USAPA’s seniority proposal.


If you morons have a legitimate union purpose AND are free to negotiate, then why o why do you need to reach out? Why?

Amazing how the stooges cherry pick to keep their constituents chasing the carrot.

No explanation on this:

It's unfortunate that such a pilot had to pay the price for poor labor leadership and end up furloughed in the first place....

Wow! This last raises the bar for just-plain-STUPID to a level that I'd never have believed possible....even from such as yourself! Professionally trained and properly certified village idiots the world over should read this thread for inspirational material! An airline that lost half it's fleet entirely due to management decisions wouldn't have furloughed anyone...if only there had been brilliant "labor leadership"?.....I see. You just couldn't make this sort of "thinking" up!

So; it's now ANY part of labor groups or their interests that ultimately determine furloughs? That being your "thinking"; you really should get your mighty AOL geared up and get those west folks back on line immediately then! What's stopping you?...You've clearly got well-worn knee pads, broken in for many years now, that should get you yet another heart-to-heart and wonderfully productive meeting with your "friends" in management. 😉 Don't forget to make some cutesie-pie little joke about your and "Doug's" gray hair while your'e at it. Our MNGMNT boy JOHN MC, wasn't he the one in CLT before the USAPA vote saying never happen life is good! MORON!
 
Nature hates a vacuum, so they say. When the "screwnion" took over and made it clear unity was optional, the west had to look out for its own interests. Coincidentially, management has the same disdain for USAPA as the west does. And the rest of the Airline Industry for that matter.
For an airline "INDUSTRY" that hates the "EAST and USAPA" they sure are focused on alot of those "EAST ASSETS"!
 
Well...pretty much that PHX was overstaffed and going nowhere, which circumstance, if limited only to such creatures as yourself and most of your fellow posters, (Bean notably excepted here) would be proper cause for believing in karma, but sadly effects a lot of decent people out there as well.

The intended effect of his literary efforts was affected by the effect of the air of superiority that he affected, and was therefore ineffectual. He will likely not effect a change.... (pause for effect). Doesn't Webster's W/B Dictionary have a usage section?
