It's more unfortunate that the West pilot group is made up mostly of management drum beaters like yourself. Management put us in this position. The unions made mistakes to be sure, but how empty do our pockets have to be to satisfy the management when theirs are overflowing?

Let's see McKee's jaw drop when the seniority portion of the ratified contract is blocked by a court, after USAPA had a DOH firesale in every other area just to get it.

But you folks worship that imbecile.
Better get those donations moving!

Nature hates a vacuum, so they say. When the "screwnion" took over and made it clear unity was optional, the west had to look out for its own interests. Coincidentially, management has the same disdain for USAPA as the west does. And the rest of the Airline Industry for that matter.

Never met Dave Odell, but respect his actions in doing what was best for his family going forward, no matter what his political leanings. "Outside" is no place to be right now, glad he took a recall. Some may not being accepting recall out East based on sound lifestyle and family logic. But it is time.

Based on what I am hearing, any West pilot on furlough should be burning up the Company lines on Monday morning to set up the earliest class date possible, including standing by for no-shows (if that is even something that is done.)

Greeter

Get something straight, they are not accepting a "recall". If they were they would at least be senior to third listers, but they're not.

Siegel: Southwest "coming to kill" US Air
Greg Levine, 03.25.04, 9:13 AM ET

NEW YORK - Doers and doings in business, entertainment and technology:

David Siegel Add To Tracker
Discount barbarians at the gates. US Airways (nasdaq: UAIR - news- people) Chief Executive David Siegel Wednesday warned that low- and no-frills rivals may "kill us." In less than two months, discount carrier Southwest Airlines (nyse: LUV -news- people) invades Philadelphia with its signature successful service. The city of brotherly love and cheesesteak is one of US Airways' three main hubs, and the CEO says major changes are needed for US Air to survive. "Southwest is coming to Philadelphia in May...and they're coming for one reason: they're coming to kill us," Siegel said in a company update broadcast to employees over the Internet. "They beat us on the West Coast, and they beat us in Baltimore. If they beat us in Philadelphia, they're going to kill us." A year after emerging from bankruptcy, US Airways lost $98 million in the fourth quarter.

Oh, how I wish they succeeded back then.

No driver, you put yourself in this position. You sought arbitration and you didn't follow through.

Quit blaming others and start being accountable. It's not ALPA, Parker, the company, or the west - it's all you.

Oh, how I wish they succeeded back then.
Now they are back to give you payback for your airline disease spawned by Franke and Conway . No pension, no rigs, Ansett, Wein, and the list goes on.
America West has now slimed its' disgusting hands on USAirways. Your outfit was the one that lowered the bar, decades ago.

And you took it to a whole new level, right Claxon?

Heck, you gals can't even get a 3% raise!

And we have rigs you idiot.

Everyone in the industry thinks it is great your land grab seniority theft was stopped cold. And it is amusing as all get out watching you and your buds amp up!

Hardly. Everyone in the industry thinks its great we put you in your place and shoved your entitlement attitudes up your asses.

Especially UAL!

Would that be the UAL scabs? Because the majority of UAL pilots know all about America West and where they went.

America West Airlines, in an unusual deal, has loaned two of its jets with crews to strike-bound Ansett Airlines, an Australian carrier that owns one-fifth of America West's stock.

The transaction comes at a time when Congress is looking into airline acquisitions, including the relationships between foreign and U.S. airlines. Although the deal hasn't aroused any concern, it is an example of how closely U.S. and foreign airlines can work together.

If you want a better laugh, ask an East pilot how serious they take YOU!

Like Bill McKee?

I'm really hurt that guys like you and McKee don't take me seriously

Ask any pilot at any other airline how serious they take you and your kind.

Enjoy LOA 93, without a merger we'll retire on it.
