Sure usapa can "allow" anyone to discuss anything. However usapa can not just grant authority to anyone to represent a segment of the pilots.

usapa wanted and was granted exclusive rights to bargain for the ENTIRE group.

So just because usapa "allows" someone from the west to sit at the table does not mean that person speaks for or represents all west pilots. Why is this so hard for you east guys to understand?

So why not participate? You won't have any guilt since USAPA will be fully responsible for their actions, and maybe you could pull a coup that lets you double dip. You could secretly convince USAPA to order a seniority list by height, inversely or whatever is advantageous to you (be creative), and then you could enjoy a wind fall and sue their pants off too, but at least enjoy the windfall for a few years until the courts corrected it all.

I'm assuming by your outspoken stance here that when the DOH list (with C&Rs) is instituted, you will refrain from taking advantage of any position on the list ahead of where Nicolau would have put you.

No matter how much more senior a pilot would be by moving in on top of other pilots in PHX.... well it would be a kindness to do so because of the resulting displacement... I mean who wouldn't jump at the chance to leave PHX for greener (literally) pastures.

5 year history of participation and 5 years of DFR breach. that is enough to make the usapa president go to the NMB seeking a way to get the other 29 sections TA'ed, so we can all vote in a Nic inclusive contract.

If you mean by “participate” you mean negotiate for something other than the nicolau, NO!

First, why you can’t or won’t understand this. The west will only accept the Nicolau. End of story.

Bottom line what does negotiating anything other than the Nicolau get the west?

Usapa has "offer" to place 85% of the west on the bottom of the list and take 90% of the contract. Lock us into PHX and out of any other opportunities that the airline might have. What happens if US Airways opens another base say MCO. The west pilots have to by DOH. Neither group had an expectation to fly out of MCO but now the PHX pilots never can. Usapa is offering the west pilots all of the furloughs and only half the growth. We out west have seen what locking people on reservations and taking the rest of the property has done.

All one has to do is look at what happened to the TWA pilots in STL. No protection.

Let me try and explain it this way. Currently Hamas is firing 100 rockets a day into Israel. Do you think the Israelis are willing to negotiate with Hamas to just accept 75 rockets a day and exclude Tel Aviv but let the rest of the country be an open target?

Just like Hamas usapa has proven that they will not honor their word. Next Israel will accept ZERO rockets. There is no negotiating some rockets just like there is no negotiating some changes to the Nicolau.

Hamas thinks they have a right that they never had to land they never owned. Like east pilots think you have a right to seniority that you never had.

Would you be willing to negotiate with Hamas that they only take a shot at 5 out of every 10 US Airplanes that go into Tel Aviv? They want to take a shot at every plane but willing to "compromise on half.
