OCT/NOV 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

Parker is going to appeal for no other reason than to delay. Perhaps he'll get lucky and sprout a spine and some balls while everyone waits. His "just play dumb" act isn't fooling a single person anymore. It's really quite sad and pathetic.

But, effective...

No. I honestly believe the Company desperately wanted to find some legal cover so they could throw the West under the bus to appease the emotional majority. He didn't get any. However, his choices have gotten a lot clearer...neither one is appetizing to Parker. So now, it's just about delay and putting off the inevitable while he hopes and prays something else will do his job for him...since Silver refused to

It's always been about delay and the reward has been a minimum of $120 MILLION per year in labor savings. It's not over yet. With a string of wins in arbitration and the NMB clearly on their side, the company has us right where they want us, NIC or no NIC. The only thing that's come along in years with any potential to pull us out of this was the MOU. The BPR and many in the pilot group weren't smart enough to see it.

Honestly, we do this to ourselves. We think we are smarter than everyone else while at the same time we are the source of much entertainment for the management. We'll probably end up the subject of a labor discussion at Harvard Buisiness School.

Working out the details of selling the "WEST" and their contract and you to your new employer! Maybe that's why SWA employed BABBIT! To interpret your "SCOPE"!

You can't really be stupid enough to believe this, can you?? Tell the truth...you're just saying this to tick people off.

Parker will grow the spine and balls when he needs to. If needed to get a merger done then it will happen. Less likely if we remain stand alone.

Exactlly.

"What was your specialty Ames?"

I'll have to guess it was and is; entirely unfounded and purely unimaginable levels of arrogance? One must believe it's something in the water...or perhaps the very air some of these simply unbelievable little punks breath.

Wait! I've got it now. General Yeager did lose an aircraft in combat....while the AWA wunderkind have a "perfect safety record". That must explain the contempt. 😉

I normally wouldn't respond to you because, as your post clearly illustrates, you are such an ass.

However, I do believe it is possible to know people and to be associated with people outside of our little aviation world.

Maybe that's not true in your life because I believe that the only people that will speak to you are those that have to for employment purposes. I simply cannot imagine a four day trip with you.

It appears that, as we knew, the eastholes have not won. Parker indicated that he probably will appeal so it's obvious he isn't negotiating off of the Nic.

Expect delay into perpetuity should we remain stand alone with a limited future as well.

Our only hope to progress out of this mess is a merger with American and I believe there is a better than average chance Parker will use the Nic in that case in order to avoid any legal complications.

Parker is, after all, a seeker of the path of least resistance.

I'm sure he will appeal. I am equally sure the 9th won't hear it because the judgement Judge Silver rendered so closely mimmicks their earlier ruling that it would be a total waste of time to entertain it at all. The big question is, what then??

USAPA has been rewarded with de facto DOH on the east side and will do nothing (including their duty as a union) to jeopardize that. Having a placid pilot group who demands no accountability for the millions that flow into USAPA, but aren't used to serve the pilots, is just the cherry they save for last.

So, to be accurate, you must expand the target of parties with an appetite for delay.

Does the East have a "no-fly" list?

I have already stated what then. With no merger we will stay on the current course, delay into perpetuity. Parker will actually do something if and when he needs to and that will be to facilitate a merger. I believe he will use the Nic in a merger because that will provide minimum legal complications.

That should get us to the end of civilization as we know it, sometime in December, according to the Mayan calender. After that, all contracts including the TA (a product of organized civilization) become amendable.

But seriously, I think the MOU is alive and well. When the NDA period ends the MOU will be improved and sent out for a vote - provided they decide to go forward with the merger.

Not really. Truth is, you hope he uses the NIC. He is in for legal trouble no matter what he does because the courts are not going to give him a pass.
