OCT/NOV 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

I have always maintained a decent Nic inclusive T/A would pass, which is exactly why USAPA plays the delay game to the max. They know it too.

How do we get there? What has there been to put out for a vote? The company has not been negotiating since the Addington was filed. As for the F/As, they haven't gotten a decent proposal without a SLI fight, so what makes you think we would? Or would you just take whatever if it just gave you a raise?

Yes they are public information. I suggest that you call your rep and see why usapa has not made them available to all of the usapa members. You are paying a lot of dues for open and honest communication.

Besides whenever I post things you say I am making it up. Another chance for you to educate yourself instead of relying on others to do your research.

That is an excellent question for your open and honest communication committee. why has usapa not posted these letters on the web site? All of the letters were e-mailed tot he west pilots but they are not available to the east pilots even from the PHX domicile update.

Now why would that be? why would James Ray and usapa prevent the east pilots from seeing all of the information?

What a babbling update by phx reps. It's pretty clear by the update that all they want to do is sabotage usapa. So why bother listening to their rants

When I tell you that you are wrong I do the research and show you. Then you slither away, not man enough to admit it. I've told you that you were correct several times today. How often does that happen?

Tell the company Section 6 negotations can resume because we accept the Nicolau Award. Parker says that's the big impediment to negotiations, so remove that obstacle.

If it gets voted down once or twice over Section 22 then maybe USAPA has something. If not, game over, everybody moves on and prospers finally.

Show me the T/A!

That was my idea when USAPA was up for election but the majority disagreed. After that the die was cast and we have to see it out.

I'm really sorry you've been stuck at your rate. I'm really sorry Nicolau dropped his turd. It is what is

Yes it is. And absent a merger with AA, I will have spent the last 10 years of my career under and retire on LOA 93.

Hopefully you'll see it out before you retire and I know you have a long way to go!

I'm afraid you will and we've all lost on that count. I wish you the best.
Turning to the legal system has really drug this out.

That may work for you, my friend, but not for the rest of us. It's the "if not" that doesn't work. That puts many of us retiring from the right seat.

USAPA may try to present their "list" to APA to try to negotiate seniority before the M/B process, but the only single list they can present to M/B is the one that exists in a contract, and we all know the Nicolau Award is that list.

The seniority list exist in the contract.

Exactly which contract is the Nic a part of ? Both Nicolau and Wake said they could not place the Nic in a contract without ratification, so which contract has the Nic been ratified into?

I don't believe that Parker totally rejected the USAPA DOH list. Due to the timing, he accepted the NIC, only because ALPA was still on the property. When USAPA was voted in and the DOH list was proposed, he, being a CEO saw his oppotunity to delay all negotiations and called a time out. It is all about management taking advantage of the stalemate in trying to merge the pilot's union.

If you look at the East demographic, absent the AWA merger, you would likely retire in the right seat anyway. Even using the Nicolau Award, you would have upgraded about the same time, if you chose to.

However, look at how many A330/B767 F/O's could hold Group 2 Captain. They stay in the right seat to hold a good block, drink beer in Frankfurt and enjoy the transatlantic lifestyle. And with INTL pay and 90 hours, earn as much as a Reserve Group 2 Captain.

The point being, if you are going to stay in the right seat until retirement by choice, you could have been making better money with one or two contracts going forward since 2005 by simply accepting the result of binding arbitration, and still have taken that upgrade at your pleasure.

And saved a couple of million dollars in legal fees and heartburn along the way.
