So other than showing up to work what did you bring to the merger?
..... A majority?

Where is American Airlines contract, Continental, United? After 10 years of so called solidarity they are finally getting near a contract that sells their souls for scope protection give backs.
The mighty ALPA was impotent. Check your history books, The ALPA president in "power" Airlines gets the contract that keeps them well fed and apathetic towards the other pilots problems. When Prater was in power at ALPA, CAL had a contract, Delta pilots had the President of ALPA, contract. If management needs you for a merger, contract talks resume. That is the only reason West was given a bone.
The mighty UAL videos in early 2009, informative yet ineffective to date.

Gotta love it when someone is stuck in a pit of quicksand and pulls their rescuer into the pit and then steps on them to get out. Even better when they then stand on solid ground and taunt the guy that tried to help him.
Good link.
Did Prater, as a CAL pilot but non-ALPA member, help get all CAL pilots back into ALPA arms, with a pardon for CAL scabs included? Just sayin'.
Remember my quote" ALPA SCAB US JOIN US!" ALPA merger policy changed multiple times dictated by "ALPA NATIONAL" so ask yourself , INTERNAL UNION ARBITRATION(product of a JCBA) or FEDERAL ARBITRATION! BINGO INTERNAL UNION DISPUTE!Yes, John prater former las vegas air, grand canyon Cessna 402 pilot, wanted alpa back in so he could gain some kind of credibility to the scab laden Continental Airlines pilot roster.
"versus
INDEPENDENT ASSOCIATION OF CONTINENTAL PILOTS,
PATRICK J. BURKE, JOHN H. PRATER, RANDY J. NEWMAN,
EDWARD J. PEARCE, VINCE SCHIRETTA, Defendants-Appellees."

But that is not what you said earlier. you saidOur rescuers were Bruce Lakefield, Doug Parker and a host of investers. You and the West pilot group had absolutely nothing to do with it. You are just hired help like the rest of us. You perform a function for the company..no more, no less.
Driver...
Gees dude. Could you be more intellectually dishonest. Are you so desperate to make a point that you now make up crap?Phoenix pilots causing a stink with chickens in the back yard?

LOA 93 , ! STAGNATION WEST, AS DUI POINTS TO THE OBVIOUS!, Your contract has "NO SCOPE" NO OPERATIONAL INTEGRATION as pointed out in the "RECALL METHOD" pointed out in a document on the USAPA website( BTW WHAT MORON ARGUED THAT FOR THE WEST?) and upheld because someone actually recognized "NO JOINT CBA, NO JOINT OPERATIONAL INTEGRATION , "NO LIST") ! NEW DAWN ! Gets better EAST moving forward! MM! BTW your contract (WEST) can be sold! But that is not what you said earlier. you said
So what you just said was you all you brought to the party was a job.
My point being that anything AFTER the merger should be shared. You east pilots don't have exclusive claim to anything. You may be grabbing it now but there will be a correction when we finally get a contract. So like it or not. Nicolau or LOA 93.
Nice spin in your favor regarding Judge Silver's ruling in favor of USAPA.
As far as the "neutral" arbitrators;
"arbitrator George Nicolau to mediate and then arbitrate the seniority ... Jim Brucia, a Continental Pilot for the East and Steve Gillen, a United pilot are "neutrals" ... the Union Operating Manual required ALPA to remain neutral in the seniority ..."
US Airways was in informal talks with United about a possible merger, United at the same time was talking to Continental. The Rice committee investigating the Nicolau was headed by Paul Rice, ALPA VP and United pilot. John Prater, president of ALPA and Continental pilot handed over the list.
Brucia who backed longevity and Gillen slotting are now on their respective merger committees with Continental and United advocating the opposite of what they felt in the Nicolau.
Why should you be thankful?Interesting to note none of the posts I made about alpa have been disputed by the west, make my day.
East pilots should be proud of the fact that they kicked alpa' associtaion off the property. We also should be thankful to Bradford, King, Javerick, Strebel, Woody, Ciabatonni, Cleary and many more of those I have missed. They started USAPA, gave us our independence, those not getting along is proof of our present cost for democracy.
Let us all think back to why we yearned for our independence and try to move ahead. Criticism of loa 93 and why no contract yet is made mostly by those that want to bypass longevity and never had to earn anything in their life. The reason their is not a contract yet is shared by American, United and Continental.
Management will not run for the oil until they hear a squeak.
Amen LUV that list and yes "WE" have had our knock downs with all of them but "ERIC ROWE" led a big charge against ALPA national , I know, I know but he kicked ALPA's BUT and deserves respect!Interesting to note none of the posts I made about alpa have been disputed by the west, make my day.
