AWA thought they would never fly that plane, and had no problem voting for the low rates. Most of the East thought they also would never fly it. So far…..West was right, East was wrong.

If I remember correctly, the prevailing west thought wasn't that we wouldn't fly the plane, but rather that we would get the pay where it should be on the next contract. The thought was to first make sure mainline flew the airplane, as opposed to someone else, then get the pay right. Of course we all know where that process is.

That's pretty much my take as well. I don't believe anyone much expected things to turn out as they have, especially concerning the timeline, or lack thereof, in getting a collective contract.

I love how all you Cleary supporters cower at Chip Munn. You blame him for everything. Cleary files a law suit without board approval and loses. Must be Munns fault. Don't agree with the direction of McKee and his crazy followers if must be Munn's fault.

The Recall guys state their case intelligently on their website. You don't have to agree. And yet you even manage to insult the pilots who see fit to sign the petition.

Munn should not have sent out an email as if he was trying to appear as one of the ringleaders, not that anyone should ever be surprised that he might run to the front of any "wolf pack" he sees on the move. I am way past all the cloak and dagger double secret attempts to recycle power until we weaken ourselves to the point that Doug sees an opportunity to exploit a soft spot ripe for more capitulation. Heck maybe it wasn't even an authentic email from Munn. Oooh it might have just been a plant. What ever.

We will enjoy our bankruptcy contract. I hope you have enjoyed yours for 30 years. And you even managed to get that bankruptcy contract without actually being in bankruptcy! Wow!
