Terri Graf rents a condo or apartment in downtown Philadelphia and only goes home to LA for 1 week a month from what I understand.

TG actually owns a home in Philly.

When she was LECVP, she was almost never in LAX. And as far as her tantrum goes, if you had to deal with LA's complacency and general abuse of the LECP position, you'd have a tantrum much like a third grader as well. TG was solely concerned about how horribly LA was treating the flight attendants, and how poorly she was running the office, and that is how her anger manifested. It was not right, but it was not entirely unbelievable. One thing you do not have to question is TG's passion for the position or the membership.

Graf/Elias/Linton/Cangey.....Let's get on with it....

I can only speak of Ms. Graf. When the AWA merger was announced and AFA was going to Palm Springs for the BOD meeting, she was in the PHL crew room telling F/A's that we could loose DOH. Knowing full well that wasn't going to happen I confronted her about this and told her what she was telling them just wasn't going to happen.
Just my opinion...
Though highly unlikely the DOH would have been overturned the FEAR of that happening was running rampant all over the east system. The "possibility" was there. To falsely say that it was "in the bag" would have not been the thing to do either.

I do not know these people personally. From what others have said I see some issues with this President and VP positions. My understanding is the Miss Graf publicly had a third grade style tantrum in a union meeting calling the president names.
Please ponder these things before casting your ballot. Good luck to you all!
Are you kidding me? Have you read any of the responses from our current LECP of Local 70 to our old MEC president? Ummm yeah THAT'S professional but I digress. As for Terry she has more union experience in her pinkie toe than anyone running for president. What she may have forgot they will never know. Say what anyone may about Terry but her not being passionate, loyal, honest and dedicated as hell to the f/a's isn't one of them. You may not always like what she has to tell you but she WILL fight tooth and nail to her last G'damn breath to defend you and be sure your treated fair. So YEAH, please, PLEASE ponder these things before casting your ballot. Agree to disagree but for the sake of being in a union VOTE! ! ! !

I'm pretty sure I attended at least three or four "Cher's farewell concertsâ€￾, only to see that she is coming to Las Vegas. I thought Kathy Lee Gifford had hung up daytime TV for life. Just to show how situations can make people change their minds.

I think Cher should be our president. She'd ride into Tempe wearing a huge Indian headress and ass-less chaps, give Parker a smack and shout "SNAP OUT OF IT! HOOOOOOOOOO!"

I never spoke about the current LECP because it is assumed that everyone with the TG signature speaking of the TG "ticket" was already voting for someone other than who is there now. I do not doubt her passion. As far as all that experience that just may be one of the problems. TOO much union experience turns good people to the dark side. You get the office with good intentions but start getting a little too cozy with the system and the way things work. I can think of several union positions not only in AFA but IAM and ALPA that have tons of experience and that is exactly why they are having the problems they are having now. It becomes an old boys (or girls) club complete with favoritism and back door deal making. This political season everyone speaks of change and I am of the belief that that goes the same for your union. (The union is full of politicians, make no mistake.)

As I said before, I do not know Miss Graf so I do not pass judgment. I just want everyone to think before they vote. Arm yourself with facts about candidates. Don't vote on rumors or even things said on anonymous web board ramblings. DO VOTE!! And Travelpro, you are right, we will have to agree to disagree but that is what the democratic process is suppose to be about!! Even friends don't always agree. No matter who ends up representing local PHL fight attendants I just hope you end up with a majority turnout and not 20 percent. Give whoever is there a mandate. 20 percent is status quo nothing wrong here. So go vote already!!

By the way, A friend was saying you guys have a local meeting on the 11th. This would be a good time to ask about those concerns you have!

Rolling on the ground LMAO. Oh, can I say A?

Noone knew that wasn't going to happen (DOH). It was up for a vote. That's where I believe Terry is at her strongest. She has her feet in reality. We knew how the board of directors were going to vote as much as the pilots knew how their grievance was going to be decided by the arbitrator. It was a toss of the dice.
You're kidding right? There was NO WAY that the LECPs of the other AFA carriers would even think of getting rid of DOH because they know that they evetually might be involved in a merger themselves. No one on the East was sweating---it was almost a non-issue because the only council that WOULD vote to get rid of it would be Council 66 and Gary Richardson--which is exactly what happened. There were no dice rolling.

If The Team For Change ( The TG Team) Is Sooo Pro AFA Then Why Are Non Of Them Wearing An AFA Pin In The Pictures On Their Campaign Flyer!! PATHETIC!! NOT ONE OF THEM! And I'm Going TO Vote For Them? NOT

Here's something to ponder....in the last election when Ms. Graf didn't get in, someone who DID get elected (and I can't remember who she was) declined to take the position since her buddy Terri didn't get in so Dan Sampey got the position by default. Since these people are running on a "ticket", if some get in but not all, will they still step up to the plate and accept the position they ran for or back out since they can't be in office with their friends ? Is this an all or nothing ticket...?????HMMMMMM?????

I asked Elias on his website about the ticket and he posted a response about it. You can vote for whoever you like. What is worse? No afa pin in a non-uniform photo or defaming afa in newsletter after newsletter calling it the a** of flight attendants like JM?

Elias is absolutely correct. WHY would you wear an AFA pin in a picture that your NOT wearing your uniform? With that being said I have read just about EVERY letter that John McCorkle put out back in the day and he cut AFA up left and right only to become the Local 70 President? Ummmm OK. The person that dropped out after winning I believe did so because of JM. I may be wrong but I think thats what happened. As for "the ticket"....no I believe they will take the position regardless of who gets in. It's NOT about all of their buddies getting in as I'm sure they are not ALL best friends. It's about voting for the STRONGEST of those running. That would be who you see on "the ticket". Educate yourselves on each member and NOT what Sally tells you over coffee in the back galley or Edna tells you at 3am on the flight to LHR. Know the facts then VOTE! ! !
