Why Is Picking Up An ETB Trip Here And There STEALING? Who Says He Can't ? I Don't Have A Problem With That!

You should have a problem with it. It's already been stated here but let me help you out.
JM is free to fly ETB if he wants but if he does then that means he is not doing his time in the office that he is getting paid to with flight pay loss from OUR union dues and should deduct what he flys on the ETB from what AFA pays him. In addition, no other LECP gets paid 105---uh, excuse me---108 and neither should he. He pulled in around 158 hours for December and those 3 ETB trips could have gone to reserves not making guarantee---which none of us do.

His excuse is that he runs a base with 3000 F/As is a load of crap. The former LECP in PIT ran it w/ 3000 F/As and an 85 hour FPL....a lot of people may not have liked her but this is not a popularity contest and she got the job done.

On top of that, phlfa88, those three ETBs could've been yours. You are a line flight attendant. I am sure you would've enjoyed a nice MXP, BRU, or MUC trip, trips that your '88 seniority cannot always hold? Your LECP collected ~158 hours in December. Were you afforded that option? It's an ethical issue, plain and simple.

When PIT President was in office, the full time fpl was for two officers to be IN THE OFFICE 5 DAYS A WEEK. The PIT president was ON CALL every single weekend for 5 years! There was no such animal flying extra trips and adding it to the FPL. There was no time, and running a big base, with the company at your tail hoping you slip up or fail was something that was NOT acceptable.

The VP was the only officer that did not get paid full flight pay loss. He received 5 hours for every day he was in the office. That's it. And the local reps got paid 5 hours fpl for the days they were in the office. And many of the volunteers who were on committess volunteered much of their time, freely, because they loved the work and enjoyed being involved. Sometimes they were paid some fpl and other times they were just paid a full days "meal expense allowance of $41.

That was how the PIT office was run as it was a big base and allowed for two officers full flight pay loss to tend to the business of thef/as every single day 5 days a week. Period.

Keep in mind that McCork ALSO recieves over $40 of meal expense from dues $$ per day in addition to his Flight pay loss. Huge!

FWIW, I have contacted the other LECP's at US, and a couple of them agree this is wrong. In fact, one told me they told JM this to his face. The other ones are clearly too scared to comment; their answers were flustered, and they tried to skirt the issue. Some spineless, some not......

We could debate it till we are blue in the face; let's just change the problem with the upcoming election.

The MECP knows this is wrong...his silence on the issue speaks volumes.

This situation is only up to the PHL f/as to rectify and restore the integrity to those positions.

You have an election that will take place. Organize, pick the right 5 people to run for all the seats and put your votes in just those people. Do not bifercate the votes by having too many f/as run for LECP. McCork is banking on having many people get nominated which will increase his chances of getting reelected by the same 300 f/as mostly from International flyers. That's his support group.

and in my opinion, JM's silence on the subject speaks volumes too...he KNOWS that nasty letter he wrote from his AFA address has made the rounds. He KNOWS that people have called the office asking about his FPL hours being 108. He KNOWS we all know about the ETB trips he flew during the most crucial holiday time of the year. He KNOWS he is being watched because he recently dropped the ETB London trip he had later this month.

Still he says NOTHING to the membership he claims to be leading so well......

Actually, I voted for him. I thought he was going to make a difference and was at least smart enough not to do what the LECP before him did that got her kicked out of office---DUH !!!

It's when I started hearing a few months ago athat he's MF's buddy now and that he has been flying ETB when he can....PLUS most of his AFA newsletters (when he sends one) have to do with international when he should be focusing on the fact that reserves like me have a hard time buying groceries some months, I began to think that I should have voted for another candidate.

The info of his flying THREE ETB trips over the holidays on top of the rude letters he sent about the subject was the nail in JM's LECP career as far as I and many others are concerned. That was another DUH !

And Look Where PIT Is Today!
Ever think that may be why (one reason) it was closed?...Stong Union learship and membership following=Headache for the company!! That was the only base to vote down the paycuts if you remember...where is philadelphia's spine?

I will say that when CCY was in charge, PIT was a "Target" and IMO based on what I knew I believe it was one reason for PIT's continued downsizing.

The biggest reason was David Bronner opening his big mouth and killing a deal with the ACAA that would have kept PIT a hub.

Any union needs a president that seeks to serve ALL members as equally as is humanly possible. To not expect some enlightened self interest is to deny human nature. SO IMO the candidates that either have shown or show the potential to show they have the best interests of all members at heart are the ones who should be elected.

If you feel JM is not such a person then you know what to do.

A little non AFA birdie tells me that Pat Friend has her hand in this. Apparently she is JM & M.F's puppet master. Just posting what I've heard. Wether it's true or not I can't say.

Pat Freind Is Whole Other Debate! She Needs To Go!!All She Cares About Is United!

Thanks for that not-well known bit of information. It seems the Doctor has had his hand in killing more than that deal.
