QIK on SABRE..

I think East has so many old timers plus a regional attitude about change that is making some of this more difficcult.

Perhaps I misread your post, but are you saying the East side has a regional attitude? If so, that is funny, I want what you are smoking.

I know, I know, HP flew to Canada and Mexico...I'm sure Brittany Spears considered you to be an overseas airline, but the rest of us didn't and don't.

I think and I wont put words in his mouth is,that he meant to say that there is a CULTURE difference between the two sides. I know, I know the HP side is lousy and they have lousy manamgent and they dont know how to run an airline and they are running preferred travlers away from the airline. I hope then I wake up I still have a job as I dont know how we can stay in business another day! I guess if I have a job when I wake up its only because the east side has been working so hard to carry the indifferent no nothing, QIK using, west side. Maybe I'll spend some time looking at that awful glossy magazine or checkout the pos website they put together. Its getting a little bit old hearing some of this stuff and soon your valid complaints will find only deaf ears.

Sorry, I thought there was some progress with the website and they were responding to some of your emails. Didnt Bob have a mtg set up with someone from Tempe? Maybe he can put you in touch with his contact at HQ to help sort out your personal trvl issues. It would be great if you or Bob could post about those mtgs. Make sure you learn how to sign before you go so there will be no such thing as deaf ears!

it's the same old crap...they tell you one thing and do another...you should hear the load of crap they fed me last month...promises, promises, promises...they all turned out to be lies, lies, lies.

You know, for as "broken" the east side apparently was, the frontline employees kept it working, barely, but they did a great job...it seems that Tempe disregards the important people (the frontline people and your VFF). It is obvious from some of the policies they have implemented that they could give a rat's behind about what the people who are important think because they consider themselves to be oh so important ones. 🙄
 
I am in DAY one of the THREE DAY training @ GSO so far it is a piece of CAKE. Screens are easy to locate and sure does alot of work FAST. Having used both CARE and SHARES in RES... it seems to be a simple move over. Pricing seems to be very quick. Check IN is about 3 key strokes....

I know that frontline employees are not respected on the west side but I have my own reasons for working here that do not include getting rspect from HQ. I have my own work ethic and realized a long time ago the fact that in their opinion we are an unfortunate necessity. I had to decide whether I could work knowing that(and its not easy) or leave. I chose to stay and take great pride in hearing how grateful some are for help or just for a friendly US voice to answer some basic trvl questions. yes, I talk to the Ma and Pa Kettles and enjoy their enthusiasm when traveling and need to explain the very basics of how to checkin or baggage allowance or the new TSA rules. Many are relieved they feel comfortable enough to ask some silly questions but those of us who can put them at ease enough to answer some basic questions may also make our fellow employees at the ato or f/a's life a little easier. We can help avoid some issues by advising what to bring or not and even help security lines giving some of the preadvisements. Having said that, I dont really care who thinks they are more important. I was taught at a very young age that Jesus washed the apostles feet. That pretty much prevented me from getting an uppity jersey attitude. I hope someday the powers that be might realize all of us make this airline run TOGETHER.
 
Why are you optomistic? What have they done? NOTHING. What have they promised? EVERYTHING. blah blah blah blah blah :down:

If QIK is so great, why does it take 5-6 people to work a full flight, and with the "Load Master" helping...and we can do it with 2 people using Sabre.
After 30 years and about 6 different systems, I think we can manage to learn QIK. Reminds me of DOS....with a color screen.

The question really is...does Doug have a clue about how bad we are operationally. I bet he'll be sorry he ever listened to Big Al..

Intl travel check in is going to be cumbersom long lines and delays but reallly who cares were saving money.....
