What's new

The NEW UNIFORM F/A allowance

I think Mike told me, they lowered the level so that a BH could drop more trips with TWOP and ETB. They didn't want to fly to 50. Just like now, how there is less 4 days. Fact was, a BH couldn't drop a 4 day trip unless a rsv had vac, plus days off to pick them up. Solution, less 4 days, more 2 and 3 days. A rsv picking them up is just a by-product of the BH not wanting to work. A rsv still shouldn't have to give up their precious 11 dyas off per month for a paycheck. Maybe 1 day, but 4-6 days, hell no.
100% incorrect. I have attended every union meeting, and emailed MF/AC/JM/MG/etc each and every time I have a question. Look at the list that the AFA came up with for temporary reserve relief, it was well thought out and actually proactive. Never, ever has MF said that the drop down to 40 hrs was for BH, it was included in the RSV relief package that was largely turned down by the COMPANY.

And, I agree that RSV's should NOT BE PICKING UP TRIPS ON OFF DAYS TO SURVIVE. MF told us all of the sections that were agreed upon in the new tentative: he laid it right out on the table at the meeting....Pass the word......

Believe it or not, not everyone is out to "screw" us. (And spare me the "koolaid" comment, come up with something better... )

When have I ever accused you of drinking the company kool-aid? We may disagree on some things, but I've never said you drank from the company pitcher. I respect your "opinion" on here, just as I do everyone elses.

What, did you think they were going to include the 40 hour drop in a BH relief package? The 40 hour drop appeared a week after the 24/7 rule was implented. BH's were complaining that they couldn't get rid of trips on the ETB and were having to fly more hours. Mike was hoping for more TWOP drops.

Sorry, did not mean you said that, just is the usual response on many threads when a lively disagreement is sparked.

The 40 hr drop down for B/H's was one of the reserve enhancements, and since it was the ONLY on e the Company agreed to implement, it looks as if it favors BH's. I disagree. If the company had agreed, after the 24/7 ruling, to implement all or most of the reserve enhancements, it would have painted a different picture. The 40 hr drop down was to allow for more 1 or 2 day trips to appear on the ETB for reserves. That's it. You disagree? Cool.

Sorry, back on topic now.... 😛h34r:

Thank goodness with the new uniforms will come a very strict compliance guidelines and it will be monitored by management. Be sure to watch out for the compliance tickets you may receive if you are out of compliance!!

Oh yeah. All of us in Charlotte and Philly are just shaking in our boots about all of these new compliance issues. That cow left the barn about 4 years ago and I don't think you are going to get it back in. As for the new "manditory serving garment" you can forget about that too. I haven't worn an apron in 25 years and I don't plan to start now. OOPS! Lost it on my first trip. Darn!

They added another USAirways crew pic on that forum. Pretty attractive crew

Hey I know....when we are working a trip we'll all switch aprons. Ok, John your now Hazel and Hazel your now Martha. Martha give Michael your apron and tell Sally to give her apron to Thelma. 🙄 Oh you won't wear your apron? To the supervisors office. I'd LOVE to see that one.

Speaking of OLD pieces...could we retire the cream shirt and pearls already? My god that is the MOST old lady looking thing. It looks like it has been hanging in a smoke filled room. It was elegant and stylish at one time but PLEASE let it go. Retire it early. It's as old as the old beige dress isn't it? Nobody is wearing that thing. I'd LOVE to see some of our PSA girls throw on those go-go boots though. You can still pick out a PSA girl.

I am not company by any stretch of the imagination, but it is people like you that need to be written up and/or fired.

If you are told that you need to be in compliance with your uniform, then you should be in compliance with your uniform.

I agree that we are so far gone with this that is will never come back with our current uniform. With a new uniform and program this IS the time to say..."This is what we want and this is what you are going to do".

It should be an infraction issue. If you are told once that you are not in compliance, you will be written up. If you are told again, you will be suspended and upon your return you will be required to be 'checked" upon your check-in. If you do it a third time.......You Are FIRED!!!!!

What makes you think that you have a right to be insubordinate against policy? Try that anywhere else and you would be fired.

We need to start acting professional from within before we are treated that way.

If I were a supervisor, I would be looking for you!!!!!

Wow! Seems like you feel very strongly about this issue. So sorry that I have upset you. Truely hope that you find a life outside of this board some day. Guess what? I am still not going to wear that FREAKIN APRON!!!!

sky high states: WHY STOP THERE? After 3 late shows, you are FIRED!!! After 3 unable to commute, you are FIRED!!! After 5 sick calls, you are FIRED!!

WHEN PEOPLE HAVE PRIDE IN WHERE THEY WORK, THEY MIGHT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR APPEARANCE!

I REFUSE to dryclean the uniform, it goes into the WASHER. You want me to TAKE PRIDE in the uniform, THEN PAY ME to take care of it.

I do feel strongly about this issue.

US Airways flight attendants are the WORST LOOKING in the industry.

I don't want to wear an apron either, but if that is what they require me to do...then I will do it.

You can hold your stance all the way to the unemployment line if you want too.
