Boy do I miss the 757 and 767 in LAX

I miss The 767 too--the foot rests and ice cream in FC. I would fly to LAX on the 767 and then hop on the BAE from LAX to SAN.

Even UA flew the DC10 and 767 between LAX and PHL and US's service was so much better.

Must not be that incredible. Boeing stopped building them in favor of the B737-900. I bet it performs more like an A321 than B757, but it gets the job done too.

It was purely econmics. Boeing screwed up and made a product that competed with another Boeing product. The sales orders of the 757 dropped as the Next Generation 73's came on line.

The 737-700,800,900 still does not have the cargo and pax lift that the 757 does.

I don't remember UA DC-10's to LAX - I thought they went to DEN and ORD only. I thought LAX and SFO were DC-8, then 767, then 757.
