It’s unfortunate to lose our people ( by that I mean us airways workers not just IAM workers ) in a piece meal fashion … But in war there are always casualties and make no mistake about it we are AT WAR …. A war against a slow and painful death brought about by a horrid economy ..
How soon you seem to forget. You wanted to through these folks under the bus well over a year before the
economy went south. The first t/a was in aug of 07 and by my recollection things were to horrid
I feel badly for these workers …. Unemployment pay is really lousy in some states , and as far as getting another job , well , there’s nothing I want to say about that .. These people have mortgages to pay , car loans , school tuition for their children etc … and now what will they do ?
Didn't have that problem with your YES vote. It was all about getting your 2 pieces of silver.
But at the same time that question beckons to all of us , what will we do when our day comes ? As I feel it will …
Well for you young grasshopper your day will be coming alot faster than mine. So maybe when they decide to try and cut say all of the west coast next go round Maybe I should just throw that YES out there and you'll be gone once and for all.
For now all we can do is stand fast against the storm and pray that the conditions turn to our benefit … At some point , there will be an opportunity for us to take , maybe only a slim one , but a chance none the less …Will those of us left have the fortitude to take that great leap of faith and courage ?
I don’t know …
