US Pilots labor Discussion 12/4-

Most of the East crews I've spoken to have been cordial to outright friendly. I don't doubt your dissatisfaction with a lot of things, but that's Parker's problem and not a West problem. Like a lot of other things we're just along for the ride. However, we sure as heck weren't going to roll over and let you guys screw us over. We've made our stand and we've held our line. It's been a difficult experience at times but the exhilaration is starting to seep in. It's all been worth it. We on the West have never been so unified and going forward nobody is going to try to walk all over us - not ALPA, not USAPA - no one.

That might be the way you see it but the east majority is alright with how things are going, we waited 5 years a little longer won't matter. I ran into a west crew in ORD the other morning (actually nice guys ) but they seem to get it and were very concerned about the future of this company and know with our average age in the late 50's we pretty much don't care if this place is around or not (yes I would perfer to stay in business) but things are not going to go well next year I think but who knows.

Of course they were nice guys, you expected something less? To your credit, you talked to them and found that out.

Many are concerned with the future of the company. 30,000 employees, employees at vendors, manufacturers etc.. all have stakes on the table. I think everyone is willing to wait just a little bit longer, but that east majority is actually a small minority when considering everyone involved. Soon, usapa's willing patience will have tried that of others past their breaking point.

True words, brother! We will win this together! With the reign of terror with ALPA behind us we can only expect things to get better- just give it itime!

If I were you I would be concerned that your boy in the desert got the ripeness issue wrong! He must have missed law school the day they were teaching the ripeness doctrine!
Which is why he's a Federal judge.

Whatever.

Just keep hanging on to your little wet dream. Its about to dry up.

Attention all west posters:

USAPA is ending, and with it comes all of the stupid legal crusades you have made against the east pilots. USAPA will fold up the tent and revert to a non-union workplace if Wake rules against us. We have nothing to lose and will make this our victory. It will be jungle rules so don't think you have won ANYTHING.

It saddens me you people could not cooperate or at least meet in the middle, you have your bed now lay in it.

Keep the blue side up!!!

They're frantic. Look at the number of postings and how increasingly shrill they are getting. I love it!
It's exhiliration you're seeing. This is the bottom of the ninth and you're star has turned out to be a complete dud. We've wrecked him at every single match. He played his final hand at the oral arguments and it's clear he still doesn't understand ripeness.

When a group of pilots who are almost 50 lose 16 years seniority, thats pretty hard to just forget and move on. I'm surprised Title 7 hasn't been brought up before this. I think the Nic award hurts the east way more than DOH with condtions and restrictions for the west because of age. It's just that most are way too greedy admit it. Separate Ops, looking at another merger,,, hummm

Yet another loser plan. The Nic is going to be it going forward, merger or not. Another transaction will only accelerate the arrival date.

Edit: the 16 year pilots didn't lose a thing - they got what they brought to the merger.

All of the top pilot management is east.
All of the flight additions are east.
All of the experience is east.
All of the pilot majority is east.

Who do you think has more influence on Tempe?

USAPA was your union, both east and west. The west chose to fight it and if USAPA folds, it will be your responsibility. WIth jungle rules, the east has the influence of upper management. Who do you think will come out of this better. Have fun working for Republic. Keep it safe!

Just something to think about,

It will be the Nic award under whatever work rules the company imposes.

I am a long time lurker, just trying to mend feces. Why do you wnat to make it political and get a name that looks like mine? Seems kind of childish to me, but maybe not fore a west pilot.

Sad what you have become. Their are some good people in Phoenix.

Enjoy the jungle!

Hey genius, check out the "Joined" times.

Seems like you're the one being childish.

But maybe not "fore" an east pilot.
