US Pilots Labor Discussion

Do you ever notice AOL NEVER says anything about the 4 other reasons for APPEAL to the 9th in ADDINGTON?, because they STOPPED AT THE OBVIOUS, (STEVIE WONDER could see it) and tossed it!, yea we love that favorable verdict, ONLY to be oudone by USAPA's latest filing( a piece of brilliance the WEST will only disregard(because ignorance is bliss), and oh yea seperate contracts does mean" FRAGMENTATION" bought and sold like sports figures but in this case, not quite, more like a team that has no home! In reality NO ONE NEEDS PHX, IT"S A DEAD HUB, full airplanes? , (ASK ANY PEOPLES EXPRESS EMPS) in no way mean profit! Take your KIRBY proposal and shove it! The WEST flies 24% EAST flying, the west contributes no attrition no growth, KEEP IT ! MM! And BTW AMES still waiting for that EAST PILOT FIRED DATA!

It's becoming a lot clearer this airline is rapidly imploding big time, after corporate security asked everyone to leave in the PHL chief pilots office, it was like they lit a fuse, it's being taken up more than a notch. Doug and company have lost complete control of this operation and I'm sure they are not surprised. And it's only getting started, this summer will be a disaster. Great management leadership.
Luv,

Guess I missed the action. How about filling me in on the details in the PHL CP office.

Thanks,

Bob

"System-wide there is a reduction of 76 CA and 108 F/O primary lines in this bid. "

So what does that mean pay-wise? Sounds like quite a hit $$$ not to mention QOL.

WEll lets take a look at this KIRBY PROPOSAL that is brought up every post, by some it means a 3% raise above WEST payrates, GREAT now added with NIC where 24% of WEST flying goes EAST and the NIC, take an EAST number reduce it by 24% and that is where your seniority is, probably reserve on the next piece of equipment downgraded so actually an 18% pay decrease for any EAST pilot! NO THANX AOL!

Yes, it appears that the "summer help" will be headed back to reserve until next year.

How many times does the word DECREASE appear on that bid?

East pilots are familiar with the post summer Transatlantic drawdown as an annual occurrence. So while not welcome news, it is not unexpected.

It would be nice to see some real growth at USAirways. Airlines like Jet Blue and Virgin continue to grow while Airways plods along at minimum fleet count. If we can't compete at LOA93 wages and ancilliary revenues, the future is grim.

Those of you that are counting on Age 65 attrtition as your vehicle to Turbo Growth are going to be unhappy I fear.

When was this? I for one can't wait until the east actually grows a pair and forces Doug to make a decision.

WELL in southernise age 65 attrition starts at 65, I know that you can't comprehend our understanding of it but yes the "REAL TIME" stats are obvious unlike theoretical ones like ALPA voted in etc! NO the only fearful ones are the ones not experiencing it! Your ret party plans are coming along nicely!

Thanks MM! Just make sure you get the date right. Don't celebrate early. Because as I have said more than once, I am NOT JS!

And I'll be here for a few more years after his departure......we'll probably fly together sooner or later, if we haven't already.

I'll buy you some M&M's to mark the occasion!

Today, another pilot escorted off a flight because she did not want to take a 330 overseas without an APU. It's getting very ugly the company has lost all control. All for BS stuff.

Well just like yourself ,the lesser time frame! no I don't think flying together is probable! Unless in SIM! Thanx Our expectations are right on point!

Well, you'll be very disappointed when APR 2013 comes and goes and I'm still here.

Maybe I'll see you at his retirement gathering in the CLT crew room. We can enjoy some apple juice, cake and lively conversation. I'm so looking forward to it.

Actually Aqua....or should I say Eric...this is the seasonal pull down that happens every year in Sept. They kept almost all of the Captain positions which they normally do not do! -2 widebody capts, -2 narrowbody capts, +3 190 capts. Normally captain positions are pulled down in September. 40 captain positions were added on the last bid for summer flying. I suppose they are getting ready for the attrition that is about to start due to many age 63+ pilots that have a year to a year and a half of sick time to burn. As far a QOL.....I love bidding reserve when they have that many extra reserves. Nothing like flying 30 hours and getting paid for 80 with weekends off. I see a lot of time at the Country Club in my future. 🙂

Well actually you will truly have to hide your disappointment, when the narcissism table only has 2 chairs and your apple juice and cake resemble a celebration for JANE FONDA at a vietnam vets convention! MM!
