US Pilots Labor Discussion

You would be saying the exact same thing too if America West ever crashed. And don't be so sanctimonious and think you wouldn't.

Thankfully America West never crashed, it was a quality program, and it made money. Alien concepts to the victimhood crowd out east.

I was Piedmont. I know quality and what it's like to make money. I hope I never fall so low as to resort to such a remark to make a point.

Yes, thankfully, America West never crashed.

Also, I am not responsible for what USAPA does or does not do. I pay my dues, I vote, I lose. Simple as that. I haven't been in the winning crowd on any vote since USAPA took over.

They're dead because of your unprofessionalism.
They are dead because of the same lack of safety culture seen now out of tempe. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Demands for placing safety over profit have nothing to do with "negotiations". It is a line in the sand. Nothing to negotiate. The east pilots are resisting flying un-airworthy aircraft because of their experience at seeing this same management follies before.

Management cares not for safety, they care only for the perception of control. That is all.

Aww, you need a hug.

I don't think she needs any. Even if the airplane behaved as it should have (and IMO, it didn't), there were a lot more issues.

She didn't handle the non-technical issues any better than she did the technical ones. I've been a captain for enough years to know that I am dealing with both people on a human level and a "machine" on an organizational level. If you want to get something done, approach it on both levels and don't throw a temper tantrum.

She has proven that she has alot to learn about being a professional. Perhaps she needs to step back and reevaluate if she has the proper temperament to be a professional pilot.

Well how about this one?

Was the safety culture really all that better in "the good ol' days"?

You'll NEVER PASS THE GROUND SCHOOL!

Maybe your pal End_of_Alpa is struggling too. Haven't heard from him lately. I hope he didn't wash out and end up driving the Doubletree van in CLT. That's no way to end a career!

I guess they skimp on the "How to rush to take the runway without smacking another airplane" portion of the training in order to make the APU electrical portion of ground school extra tough!

🙄

Perhaps you need to stop listening to company hype. Tell me, how many people do you know that were there? I'm betting NONE.

THAT is the difference between you and I and this matter.

A thought occurs to me that as I recall we never heard of US Airways aircraft going "bump" until all that scary talent from Rio poop steak Drive came on line. 😀 😀

The east pilots may not do so well in crowded east coast airports but they're pretty good at landing them in the middle of a river. That and not show up to work drunk. Of course you have the CEO leading by example on the last point.
