US Pilots Labor Discussion

And no min fleet or block hours. And if we vote for giving up more than one of these without compensation in the other areas then shame on us, both sides.
See, now you're talking like a sane pilot. You're focusing away from the Nic (something you can't change) to something attainable! Nice job! Very proud of you.

Here is the bottom line. The arbitration is not going away. The Nic is the only accepted system seniority list at LCC. Since the West is unwilling and unable to negotiate any compromise, usapa is completely powerless to even get a non-Nic ratified and lose their "unquestionably ripe DFR".

Only if you have a spare 4 Million handy.

I see most of you are still living in Judge Best Buddy fantasy land. Over a year into it and Silver hasn't even scheduled a discovery hearing?

Yea, all kinds of injunctions are yours for the filing

Such desperation, Keep on dreaming and as always keep those donations coming in.

Once the company realizes the training cost, (a new hire to fly with each west pilot that bids an east captain position) they can legally reject the NIC and yell do-over because it as not been implemented.
We can't have two pilots fighting in the cockpit. The liability is much too high. Like it or not, this is indeed a possibility, it's in writing... Sorry.

Help me out Rockford, you are always a voice of reason: USAPA bylaws state DOH, and "The West" has the "NIC": Do you see any chance of a new contract before I retire in 2025?

Nonsense. It doesn't matter who takes that captain position, if it's an additional position someone will have to fly with him/her. If it's not an additional position, no new f/o's are required no matter who takes the captain vacancy. An east f/o that can't fly with a west captain probably needs to find another job because the company is liable to take away the one he has.

Think things through instead of coming up with off the wall rationalizations.

That entire scenario is utterly stupid...Sorry

Nope.

UsAirways filed suit naming the AOL group as individuals. AOl filed for class action but the judge has not ruled.
Well, let's see. The US suit says "Don Addington, an individual, et al.

Count how many times she says "the West" and you'll have your answer. AOL has made several filings not in the name of the specific Addington plaintiffs but in the name of "Addington et.al. or "Addington plus the other 5 names and similarly situated individuals". She's accepted every one. Whether she's ruled or not, it sure seems that she's approved it. Isn't that what you asked?

Jim

I asked, has the judge approved AOL class action status.

Which is in response to your post they have.

Yes or no?

Dicked around over the Nic!?! BoeingBoy's PM regarding you and your past makes your posts a bit more understandable to me. I now know why you post the way you do. Mostly because you're an outsider, a consumer of our product. You have no experience behind the curtain other than what you read here. That's why most of your posts are so way off in fact and logic.

As for Nic, we haven't been dicking around with it. We've been protecting it. Wouldn't you protect an agreement you had if the other party to said agreement tried to change the terms? What if you booked a rental car online and went to pick it up only to find the price went up? You wouldnt fight that?

So, why would you expect the west to merely roll over and allow a binding arbitration to be either modified or erased?

So, are you hypocrite or just plain ignorant? Little of both?

Let us throw mud at each other here with your interference and nput. You have no qualifications. And being a FF doesn't give you any more insight to our issue than it does to any other passenger. You have the FFOCUS thread to hang out at so focus on that.

"Roll Over" is an interesting word. I don't want anyone to rollover for the company or anyone else. That said you have to pick your battles. In my mind I like the CONCEPT of date of hire as the best way to determine seniority. With DOH the beauty is in the simplicity. When you start trying to make things "Fair" is as we all can see, is when things go to hell rather quickly. The reason for this is each person has a different idea as to what "fair" is.

Part of my involvement is purely enlightened self interest. I don't want distracted pilots on the flight deck. I want those years of experience focused on the task at hand and I know that every good pilot has the ability to leave most of the BS at the flight deck door. However the BS is reaching the point of task saturation and a resolution needs to be found. Look at the venom and bile spewed here for proof!

Pilots are smart people. Figure this one out guys as there is an answer and it's not Nic or DOH

Two 99 new hires being compared here. The west guy was never furloughed. The east guy worked less than two years and was furloughed when the merger happened.

Do you see these guys as equals?

The east needs to figure it out and the courts are helping them. It's just a matter of when, not if.
