US Pilots Labor Discussion

Just to clear things up a bit. Seigel and US Airways were within 10 minutes of a done deal for the PIT hub to remain. The deal never got done. Why? Anybody remember Dr Bronner? Well it turns out he made a public statement that infuriated the PA folks and the whole thing went in the crapper. I got this tidbit on the down low from someone who was directly involved the day after it formally feel through.

The Pa. folks didn't help themselves either by doing things like wanting to double landing fees if an airplane sat on the gate more than two hours. Also, what was quid pro quo for our building a dispatch center in a city we barely serve?

That was done to get the PA Government on US's side to help get the merger approved.

I think that was post merger. I thought it was to settle the problem with gates in PHL, but it didn't. The Governor had his day.

I think one group threw more money at US than the other and it ended up in PIT. PHX has plenty of room to expand in the future.

So does CLT, but hell no, lets put it somewhere we hardly fly anymore. You would think they would have put it in a hub someplace.

Yeah, room is not the problem with PHX. LOL. Any reason to go there is diminishing rapidly, other than to connect somewhere else, an artificial and contrived issue that could be easily applied to, say, pagosa springs or scottsbluff.

OBTW, LAS thanks AZ for their cretinous "citizen proof" law that drove much of the convention business from PHX to LAS. Good show, morons.

Seriously. You guys use our housing market and now convention business as arguments.

Guess that's a good sign for us. You're running out of BS.

"Cretinous"??? citizen proof law. You are as clueless as the hypocrits in LAX who were going to boycott Arizona, until it was pointed out that is where they get all their power and water.

BTW, have you been to Mexico lately? They require you to have in your possesion a temporary visa at all times, and must produce said visa if asked. Further, more people have been killed in just Juarez this year than Americans in 10 years of the Iraqi war. 5000 expected to be killed in 2011, 3111 were killed in 2010.

So, if you come to Arizona, and you find yourself stopped in a traffic violation, or caught in the act of some crime, expect to show proof of identity. What an over the top "cretinous" law.

Really??

An ultimatum from a usapian who has no clue. How.....what is the word... Cute...yeah that is it.

How cute!!
Not a usapian, but keep it up with your fantasies. They may provide something you can look back on when you are out of work.
