US Pilots Labor Discussion

No....we'll stay right where we are, 93 and you are the lowest paid pilots in the industry. Maybe you should have Dougie sell you off so you can be happy. Do you think you would get the same windfall with another airline? Grow up and see the writing on the wall.

WINDFALL? What is your definition catastrophe? This place is a train wreck looking for a place to happen, This company is hated by the traveling and non traveling public, the employees and me. Thank God I'll be out of here soon and believe me I wont look back. Wake up and READ the writing on the wall.

I got deposed on the issue, by the Arizona DA, the PA DA, and the FBI.

I suspect that this will go much higher that the "pilots" involved, which is where the evidence seems to lead. Personally, I feel the "pilots" were set up by upper level management. Love to see Mr. Parker and cohorts led out cuffed. Bastards.

I'm still waiting to hear what the TSA thought of the "Sensitive Security Information" that USAPA decided to send me though the US mail to put in some so-called "USAPA Security Binder". Whoever pulled that blunder better win "Carpet Dancing With the Stars" (actually scabs)

It hard to believe pilots are actually stupid enough to do what Cleary orders. A little adult supervision would do wonders in CLT.

I am betting on the West and our modern fleet of 216 A320s, 16 A330s and 15 E190s.

Good luck, and may the best airline win!!!
HAHAHAHA.......you really crack me up, to bad LAS is closed you could do standup on you days off.... that was good.

Excellent....Smithers....excellent....

Is it a punishable federal crime to reveal SSI under Title 19 of the CFRs parts 15 and 1520?

I thought I read something about that in my last distance learning. Maybe the usapa folks missed it because they were going to show the company and not do the distance learning.

Answered my own question.

usapa did know..because they printed it right on the front cover. ...ooops.... Conveniently, they included their telephone numbers and e-mail address for any investigators wishing to follow up on exactly who actually recieved the SSI they blanket mailed.

but, I was wrong it is Title 49 parts 15 and 1520.

Why don't you leave now?

He's one of more than a few pilots who were begging for the retirement age to be raised because they'd lost their pension and couldn't afford to retire, but is now living high on the hog on LOA 93...

You've got to remember that LAS existed primarily to allow increased utilization of aircraft on red-eyes so that they would be in position for early east-coast departures. The merger put an end to both the need for positioning and the profit generating concept of increased utilization.

PIT, however, was the mother-ship.

They fly cargo/passengers mostly between ANC/FAI and the outlying settlements - get used to gravel strips, don't just pack long johns but buy electrically heated one if you can find them in the lower 48, and make sure your car has an electric cord hanging out of the grill (and that the other end is connected to the oil/water/battery heaters) and that you've got at least two sets of keys in your pocket any time you leave home. Who knows you might get to fly one of their DC-6's or C46's (though I think they only have 1 C46).

Everts Air Cargo/Fuel...have a couple friends flying there.

Most fun I ever had in aviation was my first couple flying jobs in Alaska flying piston pounders. Most importantly to add, don't forget to pack repellent in the summer time for the Alaska State Bird, better known as the mosquito.

Correct, and just goes to show just how inept the USAir management teams have been all these years. Over the years we have seen them give away profitability again and again. They bought PSA, just to eliminate the west coast. They acquired the profitable Florida shuttle, just to dismantle it. They walked away from more bases like MIA and BWI than they operate. But PIT was different. This one took lying right into the eyes of the Govenor of Pa. Of all the jackasses, Seigel had to be the worst. Organized crime at its best. And anyone that thinks Parker is not of this same mold is a fool. USAir is the closest thing to organized crime that you will find in this country outside of Chicago and Congress.

And of course USAPA. In fact, of all the groups you mention, USAPA is the only one proven by jury to be an organized criminal entity. Odd.

Just to clear things up a bit. Seigel and US Airways were within 10 minutes of a done deal for the PIT hub to remain. The deal never got done. Why? Anybody remember Dr Bronner? Well it turns out he made a public statement that infuriated the PA folks and the whole thing went in the crapper. I got this tidbit on the down low from someone who was directly involved the day after it formally feel through.
