Thanks. I can use all the editing help I can get.

As for burning bridges, I agree the east started the fire. Some on both sides would like to stop, but I'm thinking it's not too many.

What retorts? I asked you a question. Just trying to figure which it is, but I guess you aren't the best judge of that, huh? Send me your Mom's number, I'll ask her.
Holy crap hair Pi, you moved into mom jokes? Really?

Hey everybody, we're doing mom jokes now!! Awesome!!

Sorry PI, you often have a lot of insight but I can't let you slip on this one. ALPA deserves every bit of credit for the fire. They took hard earned money from pilots and delivered a faux policy to seniority integration that contractually outsourced the process, set up an ultimate fight cage, and then washed their hands of any blood. They paid someone who yelled fire in a crowded theater, then chose to shirk their shoulders and walk off.

The way ALPA acted during the election, it would appear ALPA was eager for USAPA to step in and take the fire off their hands.

ALPA SLI policy is essentially identical to federal policy. It was used for DL and UA mergers without the same level of non-acceptance as has been shown with US east. The fire was the result of east pilots failing to accept binding arbitration. There really is no other source. Change that faulty attitude on the east today and section 22 could be closed out tomorrow.

Yes! Cleary is the best ally West pilots have. Thank you so much for electing him, Pi. Thanks also for brining us USAPA... If ALPA were still on the property and we had separate MEC's the Nicolau list would have been watered down by now, if not outright tossed to appease the masses out east by the corrupt national union (Prater). You guys preserved our seniority with the election of USAPA and Cleary is taking our advantage to new heights! Thank you so much!!

Go get em TB, you go gurl.....

Holy crap that's a ton of BS!!

Outsourced? The east disengaged from negotiations on their own. The east struck for Nicolau. It was an eastie who told me "Nicolau owes us one." You walked away, not us. And ALPA didn't put a gun to your head telling you to step way. It was all you and no one else.

It was you guys that set up the cage, not ALPA. And it you guys that walked away from final and binding. This victimization disease is rampant among you easties and is truly pathetic. Tae the blame - it's yours to carry.

Damn you guys are a sad bunch. 🙁

I respect your opinions and post Phoenix, but I have to disagree with you somewhat. There was plenty of blame to go around and no doubt ALPA shares some, but a big part of the ALPA that deserves it was our own people. Wasn't one of the guys that made the last change to the merger committee an AAA guy. Many of the missteps in the merger process came from our own, not ALPA national. I don't miss them or their trough feeders, but we had our own at the trough.

When I talk about the fire I mean the east using it's majority status to leave ALPA and form USAPA. Right or wrong, that action led to fire and if it had been the other way around and the west did it, we would be mad too.

I wish both sides could handle things different, but I have little hope of that.

Essentially identical?

One essential difference (if there are perchance none but one) is that ALPA collected dues and relied upon the continuing acceptance of their existence based upon their dues paying members voting to allow them to remain at the helm, as if their piloting skills were adequate. That didn't happen. ALPA knew better and chose to stand by.

Minorities that don't like to accept the will of the majority are whiners and foment stories about ongoing fires in an attempt to get their way. Seen any witches lately?

I think that mom joke was pretty obvious and you can find it on your own. 😀

The Mom thing seems to have struck a nerve. If I somehow offended your mother I apologize, I was just looking for confirmation from her. Your behavior is not necessarily a reflection on her.
