US Pilots Labor Discussion

I am saying that you guys thought you had a lottery ticket to finally be a major carrier instead of a regional airline.

AWA was a major carrier for many years before the "merger" and without AWA, your "major" carrier status would have been relegated to "liquidation sale"

Such false bravado. But, no victories? Why is that? You agreed to Binding Arbitration, then you reneged. Bad move. Think of all the extra $$ you could have had if you had a contract and lived up to your legal responsibilities.

Its not hard to live up to what you promise to. You are finding out what happens when you don't. Karma is a ####.

You were a national carrier, not a major.

We had the ATSB loan carrying us through along with GECAS and Airbus.

Funny if HP was so rich and bountiful, how come they had no money for the merger?

US East with Lakefield and Seabury and Associates raised all the money,

And you see US had the better name recognition, hence why it was kept.

And when Wolfe was hear, we won the highest ranking for service, can you say the same?

FAA never threatened to shut down US and never had the hand in every aspect of the operation and we were not limited to grow, cant say the same about HP, no can ya?

I agree with your synopsis sir. Sorry if my post and backing of your findings hurts your reputation.

Geez, 700. That was the CAB classifications which lost favor after deregulation.

We had the ATSB loan carrying us through along with GECAS and Airbus.

That's why BK2 was necessary, I guess. Let's see...emerged from BK1 only because of the ATSB loan, had spent it by the time BK2 was filed. Broke by the time of the HP merger. What a success story!

Just how much money did US have for the merger?

US East with Lakefield and Seabury and Associates raised all the money,

So?

The rest is ancient history. Might as well mention the innovative way All American Airways picked up and delivered the air mail...

america west airlines had pilots that flew drugs. scabbed jobs from other airlines, had ceo's that drove drunk, pilots that flew drunk, kirby disrupted a flight while drunk.

Oh yea, pride in awa management, awa pilots that acted like this, you should be walking tall.

Jim, boeing boy, his idea of seniority lists. alpa shill.

boeing boy quote, "I never had free alpa pay, I never got a t shirt." You lied.

"Former Enpire p i l o t s shall be placed on the Piedmont Pilot System
Seniority List on January 3, 1986 following the most junior Piedmont
p i l o t i n the same order that they appear on the Empire Pilot Seniority
List dated January 15, 1986."

boeing boy, I have got mine alpa mentality

Hey boeing boy. I have provided a link (Piedmont,Empire pilots) to show that you stood by and allowed airline pilots to be stapled to the bottom of a list you were on. You stood by and did nothing. Now you are on this message forum every day espousing.

You da man!

It sounds like an alpa cowardice, fpl, kinda thing to do.

AWA was only a major carrier in the minds of the West pilots. How do you think you were able to compete with SWA? Low wages, encouraged by AWA management. There was no liquidation sale planned after the East pilots agreed to invest $9 billion to keep the airline flying, so now we are demanding a return for our investment. It has been told over and over how AAA had just a couple of weeks before liquidation....that's BS. The fact is that the merger talks had been going on for several months, directed by Bruce Lakefield, bringing in the financing to make the merger happen.....no money put up by either cash strapped airline. With the ATSB loan and the pilot's donation, the liquidation was never going to happen. Call it a Phoenix, if you will. 😛

You call it renegging on the arbritration, we call it standing up for what is right....it didn't pass ALPA merger policy....which states "no windfall for either side", and the NIC was flawed from the beginning, just ask any Mid Atlantic pilot. If losing 15 yrs of seniority is not a windfall, I don't know what is. I don't blame you.....if you can screw somebody that badly, go for it...it seems to be in your junior nature....called entitlement. Certainly not earned.

You're right about Karma....I have believed in it for years. You will get yours.
