Money losing hub? Which one is that?

The ones that have been hit by INJUNCTION. The ones where pilots taxi out take off and land with 3 engines running. These guys dont get that when the company does well we all get paid profit sharing and when it does poorly we get smacked. Now this company would have posted a year long profit resulting in our getting profit checks this year but for the fact of usloppy and its Ill advised job action. BTW what good came from that ILLEGAL WORK ACTION anyway???????

It should read "I'VE GIVENUP" There was a time when we had a REAL UNION around here. Now all we have is greedy east folks that use 1960's tactics in this day and age that result in the pilots getting b itch slapped. Well OLD wise one please predict for us the future. See you have hurt no one more than you've hurt yourselves. In reading your words about spinning off parts of the company further lets me know that you simply have no clue about business. See real airlines like Delta took the whole and its TWO contracts and made ONE BETTER CONTRACT. This is something that escapes the minds of the greedy. Real airlines like United took TWO contracts and are working toward ONE BETTER CONTRACT. Real airlines like Southwest took TWO CONTRACTS and now have an agreement with the MINORITY pilot group to gain ONE CONTRACT that is better for all. These concepts escape the minds of the greedy east pilots who would much rather work for the worst the industry has in an effort to bring harm to the minority. This is a reality that you in the east will never ever realize as it will NEVER come to fruition!!!

Doug has seen your best and called your bluff. LCC is now sitting on pocket aces just waiting for AA to file. You and your fellow greedy east brethren gave him the best out with that ill fated halfass job action. Now you cant move an inch toward better without first kissing his rear. You guys are all old mentality with old ways of doing things that everyone in the industry sees and realizes doesnt work.

Go FISH, Yea he sold EAST slots, 60 mill and traded EAST slots, I don't recall any PHX slots being sold and as for your keen business sense you might want to check yea ole balance sheet, you might find a CITI loan due in 24mos for the tune of 1.14BILLION! There never was a job action and after LOA93 comes out we will work hard to make sure you WESTIES stay in line!

They are likely taking the comment from a Crew News some years back where DP stated that the PHX hub was only "Marginally Profitable" and that PHL and CLT is where US makes the bulk of their profit. At no time in my memory did anyone state that PHX was a "Money Loser"!

There never was a job action

Unlike the accusations of "stealing" personal info, a judge ruled that there was a job action. GUILTY as charged. And slapped an injunction on USAPA to boot. You need to get out of dreamland once in a while.

and after LOA93 comes out we will work hard to make sure you WESTIES stay in line!

I suspect that once the LOA 93 decision comes out (LOA93 has been "out" for over 7 years ) you'll be too busy crying in your beer to keep anyone in line - even yourself. The best you might get is the restoration of the 3% raises retroactive to 1/1/2010.

I said sitting ON pocket aces which is a poker term, sorry should have spoken down on your level. Ok now for the business end of this conversation for I really dont expect you to keep up. Slots were sold in a location where the company as a WHOLE was not strong. Now DCA by itself is not strong either but when combined with the whole it presents an area of value in a merger. The Phoenix market is a bit of a puzzle to me and always has been. I could never figure out if it was to be launching point or another west option when LA and LAS was saturated. In any event all that at this stage is no longer important. What is important is going forward.

Ok I can check the balance sheet but again that has little or no value to our discussion here and going forward.

Now I find your comment about the ILLEGAL JOB ACTION to not only be funny but an outright lie. The company hired a firm to track the east illegal activity and produced the document for the courts. The courts found you guilty and issued an injunction against your actions.

I see you are one of the few that have yet to Kasher's decision on your snap backs. Why dont you ask tracy to stop all the lying and send you the report. It is a very interesting read.

Actually DL is selling slots, not US. So DL will get the money for them. As usual, MM is a year late and $20/hour short...

Going forward, we will focus on continuing to build cash through operations. For the first 9 months of this year, the company has generated $465 million of cash flow from operations and $149 million of free cash flow defined as operating cash flow less capital expenditures. During the quarter, we did have scheduled debt payments of $91 million. For the next couple of years, we have modest debt payments and the majority portion of our debt being the $1.14 billion Citi term loan, which is not due until 2014! For some geographic color, domestic and transatlantic RASM were each up over 10%, and transatlantic actually outperform the domestic by a very small margin. If you take a step back, I think the macro headlines are actually worst than the underlying economy. Certainly, airline Wow lone little T/A actually outperformed all domestic now that is business!
