Why do you continue to let one man cause so much damage?

Why the hell should Underpants or any East pilot with a decade or more seniority over the West allow those pilots to have seniority above them? Are you crazy? Seniority is earned and worth fighting for. So, if you haven't figured it out yet...it's going to be a long bumpy flight.

Partially my point. They were realistic. Their expectations were being managed truthfully by their union. They weren't given any "DOH and a contract in 90 days" pie in the sky promises. And each merger turns on it's own circumstances not some one-size-fits-all "gold Standard" of DOH. They could have held out for McCaskill/Bond and an arbitrator to "see the light" and give them DOH, could they not?. Then parking the 717 would be irrelevant because any reduction in manpower would come from the junior part of the SW list. Screw the SW pilots... wait your turn! Isn't that your mantra? But instead they made the WISE choice instead of the emotional one.

Had the east pilots looked at their circumstances, understood that Nic gave them the 517 for the WB and 60% of the attrition due to the demographics of age, seat, and expectation, and that pay parity plus all this time would have benefitted the most number of pilots for their remaining years, perhaps the east would have made a wise choice as well... under the circumstances.

Now you have LOA 93 infinitum, a lunatic dictator at the helm, scandals and fist fights, MILLIONS in legal costs and rising, waning support and popularity among the ranks, deteriorating legal footing, higher costs than ALPA, and nothing to show but delay of the inevitable. Great choice! 🙄

Your entire premise is false. They do not have seniority over anyone at the new combined airline. They have longevity. Seniority does not equal longevity in airline mergers. Seniority is the power to bid and hold the highest paying or most advantageous position you can. If seniority was the same as longevity, why were 18 year pilots in the lowest paying seat on reserve and 17 year pilots on the street. That's not senior. That's JUNIOR. It's been proven time and time again. Even at USAirways of past.

He does nothing but parrot whatever USAPA tells him. The east doesn't do DD on the info they get from their union and they throw common sense out the window because the reality doesn't comport with their paradigm.

What I or anyone outside of that of that east rose colored world that you all live in cant figure out is how anyone in their right mind would want to stay with the industries worst contract. Truth be told you really dont, I mean you all preach a good game of being fine with $124/hr top capt pay on a narrow body and 50% cancellation pay and no retirement. I see you and your kind at every crew news begging for better pay and benefits yet you have the nerve to come on this forum and preach " we are good with separate ops forever" SERIOUSLY????? I see you when I have the misfortune of being stuck behind you on the ramps while you waste fuel running 3engines in your continued failed job action quest. Its a bumpy ride alright but for whom?? I make more than ALL your narrow body f/o's, I have weekends off and holidays off. I will get another raise this month while you and your east buddies continue to rake in industry bottom. Keep up the good work Eye you really got management on the run now. Those snap backs and DOH are just around the corner now and Lee Seeham will deliver you the big one. Managing expectations of clueless idiots has become and art form on the east. RC4 back in business.

Why be pissed off?? I have the greatest part time job in the world. I work with wonderful people every trip and we have a great time. I go home and I watch my kid play competitive soccer every sat and on Sunday I watch NFL all day. In a couple weeks thanksgiving will come and I will be home for that too. I open my check stub on the 1st and 15th and its higher than all the east pilots in the same equipment. On my last trip a portion of it was cancelled and I got what you don't get 100% pay. When there is another merger my pay will further increase and when APA says they are using the Nic to blend lists with AA pilots I will do what no east pilot does and thats HONOR THE AGREEMENT!!!!

So really whats there for me to be pissed about??

Ahhh words from the great profit Michel de Nostredame! One thing in this world is certainty and that is you have no idea how business works. The west contract though far better than what you work under today is still substandard and the FINANCIAL COMMUNITY that you speak of sees this. That community wants a deal done that will pay THEM, which means tossing you a bone in the process is vital to THEIR SUCCESS. Now the size of that bone is the question. The smart play in that would be to give you AA pay and benefits that will be mind you frozen by bankruptcy. The pilots here get a huge raise and far better work rules with the promise (LIE) that when the combined company is profitable it will filter down to the worker bees.

Now as for seniority lists, you can best believe that APA will not adopt DOH to combine the lists. They will certainly state that you usair people have a list that was done in arbitration and that is the list we will use to combine our lists. APA like you in the east was very greedy when they got with TWA and like most greedy people they got burned in the end. The east has been told countless times that the nic award would not have hurt them at all but like most pilots its all about me, me, me! I have NEVER in my life seen a group of people that screams about fairness and much as the east then thinks that fair is stapling 98% of the west to the bottom of a list is fair. 🙄 That's not fair, its GREEDY.

I have marked your word, when your(WEST) contract is sold, to the company that would want it with all those fabulous assets, you can worry about a seniority integration with that group, as for useast, no joint cba, no joint list, no joint workforce, much like the fragmentation of the EASTERN SHUTTLE, PAN AM PACIFIC ETC ETC, BTW the SMARTER PLAY for AA is to spin your money losing hub to someone willing to give them anything for it!

Why didn't you just post, "Because we're afraid" instead of your non-answer. The east slammed the pilot group with USAPA by the thinnest of majorities at a time of heightened emotions. Now the emotion has turned against USAPA and you know that a contract with NIC and just about anything better than LOA93 would pass just because it would be a vote of no-confidence in USAPA. Everyone knows that USAPA is unable to negotiate anything better than what Parker will put in their bowl because they are immature, inexperienced and unleveraged.

The proof is in the vote.

Vote on a contract or vote out USAPA but vote.

Well OLD wise one please predict for us the future. See you have hurt no one more than you've hurt yourselves. In reading your words about spinning off parts of the company further lets me know that you simply have no clue about business. See real airlines like Delta took the whole and its TWO contracts and made ONE BETTER CONTRACT. This is something that escapes the minds of the greedy. Real airlines like United took TWO contracts and are working toward ONE BETTER CONTRACT. Real airlines like Southwest took TWO CONTRACTS and now have an agreement with the MINORITY pilot group to gain ONE CONTRACT that is better for all. These concepts escape the minds of the greedy east pilots who would much rather work for the worst the industry has in an effort to bring harm to the minority. This is a reality that you in the east will never ever realize as it will NEVER come to fruition!!!

Doug has seen your best and called your bluff. LCC is now sitting on pocket aces just waiting for AA to file. You and your fellow greedy east brethren gave him the best out with that ill fated halfass job action. Now you cant move an inch toward better without first kissing his rear. You guys are all old mentality with old ways of doing things that everyone in the industry sees and realizes doesnt work.

I said it before and will again. If it is so easy and as clear cut as usloppy lead you to believe, where is DOH??? Where is your snap back??? Here is a better one where is that JOB ACTION?? Injunctified huh?
