Special BPR Meeting Senatorial Voting Control: December 11, 2011

The following link is today's ITT News Update, Quick Turn 5 - LOA 93 Snapbacks, December 11, 2011. This update provides significantly more information than the USAPA's BPR Meeting Update. Please forward this information to other US Airways pilots. I believe this video is an important piece of information every US Airways pilot needs to view.

Please click here to watch this important video.

It appears from today's ITT News Update there is a new BPR order that senatorially controlled USAPA's recent BPR meeting.

They are: Jamie Wiedner (who has taken over in PHL for Eric Jordan) - PHL, Joe Stein - DCA, Pete Dugstad - DCA, David Braid - PHX, Eric Ferguson - PHX, and Roger Valez - PHX who controlled the BPR meeting with 6 votes versus Mike Cleary loyalists Steve Szpyrka - PHL, Mike Gillies - PHL, Bill McKee - CLT, Steve Crimi - CLT, and Dewitt Ingram - CLT with 5 votes.

Now we know why last week's Special BPR "meeting ended at approximately 1700 ET as several Board members left for flights home, resulting in lack of a quorum." It must have been a tough day for Mike Cleary and why he ignored pilots on his early commute home to BOS to begin his 4-day weekend earlier than expected.

Hummmm????

I would fully expect most of the hiring to go east. You'll have more retirements, it makes sense scheduling wise to have more pilots out east, and it saves the company money. That's nice that you can afford to live on LOA 93. I hope more pilots are in a similar position out east. Because the NAC is gutting the west's contract, we are starting to realize in larger numbers that we are better off separate. Even with the NIC, why would I want a worse contract and the threat of an east coast commute. No thanks. You take the attrition and we'll take the better pay and benefits. Sounds good to me.
Beancounter,

I won't vote for a contract that has concessions for either side.

Rookie, jr quoted V's rant and said V was delusional and was going to fall hard.

You then quoted Rookie and said "This statement shows how stupid some of the people in this company are."

The only "stupid" people I witness are the morons who fell for Seeham's "Its like a crewmeal" BS. One of those people is V, and yes he is going to fall hard.

But, speaking of negotiable like a crewmeal. Ever cross any of you idiots minds why crewmeals are indeed negotiated every time the contract becomes amendable, but seniority is not?

First, it wasn't a rant and second, the only way to fall is to be unable to accept the situation. I clearly see and understand the situation. I even think there is a possibility that the Nicalau award will be 'attempted' to be forced on USAPA through the same 'unbiased' kangaroo courts you boys have out there on your turf. What you fail to understand is that PHX may believe that they can make up the rules on the fly, but a higher court doesn't agree. They will do what they can to try to impose but they will have a tough time doing so without overstepping their bounds and being reminded of what was asked and answered.

Your greatest weakness however is your failure to recognize the resolve on the East. While you think the term 'fight to the death' is a term; the majority here truly believe in it word for word. The anger, animosity, outrage, and bitterness between the East and West makes the Republic/NW merger of 20 years ago look like a minor disagreement.

Regardless of what the courts come up with, you still have to overcome the NAC and then you have to overcome the BPR, then you have to overcome the overwhelming vote. Even then you don't understand the power the NAC has in how or what it negotiates for and I can guarantee it won't be to throw you a bone. Before any of that however your puppet Parker has to put enough on the table to even more it forward. No, you may think that the resolve on the East has waned due to the Kasher fiasco (how is the poor sick man that is unable to complete his duties after 2 years of procrastination anyhow?) but you mistakenly apply it to a win.

Lastly, I liked your comment about how you were able to teach your grade school bully a lesson, tough guy. Was that a threat? If so, I would be more than willing to give you the opportunity to teach me a lesson....

What, like agreeing to binding arbitration, then trying to run away from your agreement by forming a sham union?

Seriously, its like USAPA walks around with a "Kick Me" sign on their back, completely oblivious....

USAPA is done, they have been effectively neutered by their own stupidity. Time is on our side HP. USAPA is their creation, their union which they have complete control of and this is their mess. Just sit back and enjoy the implosion.

AWA undercut the entire industry for years, and the fact that the very best you were able to achieve on your own was to get hired by AWA is pitiful - therefore, it is somewhat understandable why you are as you are.

Boeing Driver

Most of us AWA guys were smart enough to see the writing on the wall for US Airways. I am an east coast guy who wouldn't even consider applying to your mighty airline. Not only did I see the impending organizational doom but, beginning with my days in the Air National Guard, on through a few years in the commuters I was exposed to the pilots of US Airways and decided that is one group of people I wanted to stay far away from.

In addition, we rookies have no (or a very easy) commute here in the wonderful weather on the west coast. (I was happy to relocate to Phoenix and I know many of you are chomping at the bit to do so also.) AWA was (until this tragic "merger") growing and upgrades were quick. Top it off with the fact that 95% of the people who work here are a joy to work with.

One more thing. Take a look at our contract. I know you easties are averse to looking at facts but, with regards to lifestyle, our contract is pretty damn good. If you actually took the time to read the thing you would be begging for it plus a reasonable rate increase.

Spew all the venom you want to about AWA. Most of you meet will be happy to tell you we loved it here until the cancer called US Airways infected us.

Channel all that anger and add a little fiber and you could have a most productive bowel movement. Perhaps your outlook would improve afterwards as well.

You are making yourself look ridiculous by trying to pretend your opinion is the majority, when all the evidence points towards the east pilots beginning to make post-USAPA plans for progress. That's encouraging.

Standing on the crow's nest of a sinking ship is pitiful when you're the one responsible for the hole in the hull.

Reality is ready when you are.

You would be mistaken.

AWA pilots have no idea at the level of anger on the East; the average East pilot absolutely despises the AWA pilots, and this is growing everyday...

Boeing Driver

Don't worry, we know. Your opinion of us, however, is as insignificant as you are.

That attitude or strategy is equally self destructive. If USAPA implodes and nothing is left but a vacuum, then LCC and APA will have free reign. Even with McKaskill-Bond, someone needs to actually show up and represent the USAirways pilots.

I think that the next joint contract will be a USAPA contract (absent a merger) and if there is to be another merger then USAPA will be the only entity to represent our collective interests.

Time, most definitely, is not on your side or our side.

Hey V,

Ever occur to you that it might be the trouble making morons out east that get sold off??

I mean seriously? What makes you think it would be the West that got sold off?

Oh, I know, it is that same complete lack of situational awareness that has gotten the east into trouble since day one.

Have another question for you. Are you in anyway a usapa rep? Like BPR member, or NAC member, or Committee chairman/member. Do you have any post within usapa whatsoever, other than MIG?

Yeah, think about it. The company has to actually get a court injunction to keep the scumbags from harming it yet they expect the company to keep the scumbags and spin the real professionals off.

I will never give up COC,
Never accept the NIC.., unmodified..

and do all I can to make as much noise to deny any merger...

The people on here that say we have no voice in a merger not going thru are clue less...

Doug wants to merger and the EAST has the ability to stop that from happening...

If Doug and the west want a merger bad enough they can fix the NIC...

if not let's make some serious noise.

This will soon be over and people like yourself will be the flotsam heading for the drain. Buh bye!

What is even funnier, since SILVER decides the "WEST" is their own class then surely any injunction will have to include, "DUAL" ratification, just as under ALPA, if it does not surely the 9th would red flag it!

You don't seem to understand what the DJ is all about. That's ok. You will find out soon enough.
