US Pilots Labor Discussion

That's one thing I just can't figure out. When have furloughed pilots EVER been placed above active pilots? I can understand the anger about where some of the east pilots were placed on the NIC. Furloughed pilots? Really? ........ Really?

Taking a position like that just makes the east lose all credibility, because you know it's an all out seniority grab.

Republic/Hughes Airwest. It was in the article that AOL partially quoted in their brochures. They left that out, didn't they?

PSA merger anyone?

Oh, and it was funny how, during the first UAL merger attempt, you guys were counting the days that you'd be flying those 747s across the pond.

So save it.

No, you save it. I don't have any problem with the west in any aircraft. It was aquaman that raised "what was brought to the table", so address it to him.

Wrong again. They didn't think they should replace them, just when it was time to be recalled, recall then move up in an equitable manner. I recently flew with one that agrees with me that neither the Nic or DOH as currently envisioned by USAPA does that.

Oh I see. So the junior AWA pilots could go from a 7 year upgrade to eternity on reserve. Eternity on reserve, wasn't that what east FO's brought? So we swap out the east FO's failed career and hand it to the west FO. Sorry about that, but we'll just ignore career expectations or fair and equitable. Yeaahh Riiiight.

I wish every pilot on the East list would read this answer, in other words "we will screw any body or thing to get his seat". Yea you got integrity, honor, and all the rest of the crap you a-holes have been feeding each other. YOU MAKE ME VOMIT.
An eastie talking about honor and integrity - what a joke.

No reason you can't retire two months earlier, is there?

That rekindled a fun anecdote a UAL pilot related to me in the crew van the night the AWA-AAA merger was announced. He was a 737 F/O after having been a 777 F/O before 9/11. At the peak of the UAL attempted purchase of AAA, he said he and his capt were walking through DEN and some AAA pilot walks up to the capt in total earnest and asked if XYZ date of hire can hold 777 out of SFO. Well, that didn't go down too well and the f/o said he basically had to grab his captain and tell him to just let it go. The United guy kept repeating to me that "you" (pl....as in AWA pilots) had no idea what we were in for. Oh man....was he right! No problem. We're beyond the danger stage now.

If you haven't figured out that 7 year upgrades over there were about over I can't help you. You said when have furloughed pilots EVER been placed in front of active pilots and when I quickly answer you go off in another direction in typical west fashion.

You want me to pay for your failed career.

Noted. Just like after Wake ruled. Just like a win was inevitable in SFO because they didn't lift the injunction. Just like...............
Yes! DOH and a 90 day contract are right around the corner!

Man, this slam dunk of yours is kinda taking a long time, don'tcha think?

What are you instead taking your info from these guys? 😉

Sorry, my bad I didn't see your response at first. Refer to above. Failed career? You're joking right? You want your failed careers back at the cost of AWA pilots. Remember that part. Or, how about, one foot on a banana peel and the other in liquidation. Remember that one.
