United Pilots Contract

"MEC Negotiating Committee Update:

The JNC worked this week with both MEC Retirement and Insurance Committees to complete our Section 24 counterproposal. The JNC also completed its work on all the Letters of Agreement, determining those to be retained, eliminated, or incorporated into the JCBA. We have now completed all sections of the JCBA for our comprehensive counterproposal to the Company next week."

How many sections has USAPA completed? How long you guys been working on it?

Sure sucks losing your bearings on a dark foggy night. That controller wasn't much help. Sounded like she was more interested in "pushin' tin" than resolving the confusion. Good on the USAir crew for staying put. I'd have done the same.

As for your innuendo, I'd tread lightly before comparing safety records of our airlines. You'd lose that comparison by any statistical measure, and we'd be throwing distasteful subject matter back and forth. Let's just hope we all get to the end of our careers without bending metal (or worse) and leave it at that.

Hey Oldie, with all due respect...I just signed up on this board yesterday and I've read more posts by you that are just those typical tit for tat's with East vs West that doesn't no one any good.

Obviously, anyone with thousands of posts on a web board is spending a lot of time here and should perhaps spend some time doing more enjoyable things.

This bickering doesn't do anyone any good and only makes you feel good for a minute or so, maybe it's the booze kicking in or the short guy behind a keyboard syndrome....but really, why don't we just stick with the facts.

What USAPA has done and hasn't done. What the company has done and hasn't done.

Maybe it's time to enjoy those golden years and take a break from the old keyboard.....just a thought.

My, that was constructive. Hey, I've got an idea. Tell your west friends to stop the namecalling and fabrications. then maybe you'll get an intelligent thread here.

I'm not bickering with anyone, just pointing out their juvenile attempts to undermine their own union and disparaging other company pilots.

If you're comparing the number of postings, don't forget to look at the time frame. There are a lot of folks with MANY more posts in a lot less time. But let's not confuse things with "facts".

What a journey- God this has been great! AOL is truly a noble cause, a fight against an anti-union union. I will always be proud of my titanium and it will never leave my uniform- a symbol of our unity after the east tried to sucker punch us with their trailer park tactics.
And after the east collapses, if any of these angry fo's give me one problem when I call for a checklist I am grabbing them by the collar and hauling their unprofessional geriatric behinds into the CPO. The buck stops here.

You support DOH, and you support usapa's attempt at stapling the west do you not? I am a 757 captain just like you, date of merger I was a320 captain as 1996 hire. Now you and yours have decided to take my career and future, have you seen what doh does to somebody in my position? how can you support that. How does someone have integrity when they renege on a list devised by a NEUTRAL and uses their larger numbers to impose a list that benefits them? No Bob you should have supported the commitment you made thru your reps to abide by the arbitration and get us a better contract. It has cost you and me personally $hundreds of thousands and for what? So that a furloughed east pilot upgrades 2 years earlier (usapa's own salamatt report)?
I hope things work out for the best for your family, and I am very sorry about your personal situation, but the fact remains, attitudes of the east pilots like yours are costing us all dearly.
