Is that a really crucial point?
Only if you're claiming something else...
I do know that I still check in on Catcrew.
You probably use MS Office, Word, or Works on your home computer - does using the same software mean you've had the same computer for 10-15 years? CATCREW is software and the fact that you still use it is an artifact of separate ops. Nothing more.
I still go to Decs in Saber and check various info., I still talk to schedulers in PIT, just like I used to do. Big parts of the old US are still here, rolled into one with the old AWA. You act as if the old US went out of business then we joined a renamed AWA.
But you don't check loads in Sabre, that's Shares (or QikShares). The schedulers are in PIT, but that's where the combined OCC (or whatever they call it is) - talking to the same schedulers is another artifact of separate ops and nothing more. Big parts of both airlines are still here. US didn't go out of business because of the merger, but today's US is not the pre-merger US.
Is "I still use CATCREW" or "I talk to the same schedulers" all you got? It proves nothing other than the two pilot groups haven't been integrated yet...
Just because your work life hasn't changed in some respects doesn't mean that the old US is still around or that the west folks should just be tacked on after the "real" US folks get their windfall...Jim
