US Pilots Labor Discussion

I will wait and see what my options are.....not a Cleary vote tho. And probly not anyone recommended by Chip. 😉
But are you open-minded enough to consider supporting a west candidate who will pledge to implement the Nicolau list and move the pilot group forward out of the morass USAPA has put us in?

Truthfully, are you really going to examine your options, or have you made up your mind that you want a Frankie Smoothtalk who can successfully dupe the west into acquiescing?

I was thinking of going out there over MLK weekend, but its a slog from PHX (especially when you are 4P) I can't imagine the weather this time of the year is all that great, nor are there too many hours of daylight.

Wish we still flew to SNN, my relatives are N of there off Lake Corrib.
The weather in DUB was not so bad the last couple of days.......high in the 40's, rain off and on but at least it was windy (50 mph + at times).

Smithwicks just celebrated their 300th year of production, which makes Smithwicks approximately 50 years older than Guinness. Pronounced "smiticks" by the way.

Jameson is distilled in Dublin, Bushmills in Northern Ireland.

Glad to see we are finally discussing something of importance on this blog!

Right on all counts! I owe you a pint or shot!

I tend to wait until the votes are counted BEFORE I run about prancing and dancing.

Remember Santorum did nearly beat Romney in IOWA and no one gave him a chance.

Hey there's a game show in there for the US Pilot group!!

"Are you smarter than a Republican?"
WTF are you talking about?

I see you still like to stumble into conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

Ron Paul lost me when he said it was OK for Iran to have nukes. He lost a lot of others too.
He hasn't lost the people who would actually have to fight a war with Iran.

Who is the only country to ever use a nuke?

Which country is contaminating the earth with depleted uranium?

Well, election year is upon us (Presidential) and it looks like we still have "union" members determined to vote for a Republican candidate.

A bit off topic, but do some of you really still consider yourselves white collar? Let me tell you, it doesn't matter what you think of yourselves. It only matters what management thinks of us. And in their world we are nothing more than blue collar. No different than longshoremen or any worker turning a wrench on a production line in Dearborn. All one has to do is look at the attack on organized labor in Wisconsin.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many pilots talk like tough unionists until election time. Then they commit political suicide at the ballot box. NONE of the potential Republican candidates are friends of ours, regardless of the name on our union office door.

Which president signed the NAFTA into law?

Which president repealed the Glass-Steagull Act?

Bill Clinton.

Both parties represent the interests of the Central Banks and Fortune 100.

The just pander to different constituents to give the illusion of having a choice.

Let's start another war so dudes like you will be happy when the Global Depression the Central Banks created hits the fan.

Blah, Blah, Blah. This post could be lifted from any election year in the past 40. Allowing one party to control all three branches of government allows terrible ideas like Obamacare to be put into law.

No politician is coming to the aid of the so-called "1%-ers" in the pilot profession. Illegal aliens outnumber union pilots about 250 to one. Politicians know where their real support is coming from.

Vote for how they will lead the country and even then let your suspicions outweigh your expectations.

A Far Cry from your $50K a year fantasy. Airline wages did not really rise until the mid to late 1960's.

According to a calculator at My link this $12000 salary equates to $84349.56 in 2011 dollars.

Finally something the east can be proud of !!

"Trans Mediterranean" flying in the middle east in the 1950s would be paying what UAL, CO, DAL, and AA are paying?

Get real. Get a life. Get a brain, ace.
