So one of the PHX reps wrote this? If it was not EF or JK, then they better disavow any connection pronto. If it WAS one of them, so much for their empty claim of unifying the pilot group.

Or maybe MC. We are somewhat distant 4th or 5th cousins but he's so senior he's just looking forward to retirement in the islands. I've never met her but understand his wife's family has some pretty extensive holdings down there. Plus, he's so easy going that nothing gets him upset except maybe uniform shirts without long enough shirttails to stay tucked in...

Do you even get paid for distance learning? How about recurrent?

With how crappy LOA93 is, I really do not know. What I do know is that maybe the first grievence that should be given to the company should be the MDA pilots's overpayment grievence. First to make the playing field a little more level on how/why/when/for how long the company can seek repayment,,,,,,but more importantly to have another official union statement that indeed the MDA pilots were furloughed.

Other than that, I would say that the entire grievence backlog should be put on hold until the West collects for the TA-10 grievence we won 3 years ago but have never been paid.

Come to think of it, LOA93 is pretty deplorable I hear, but it is likely to get even worse, when the company can violate it whenever they want. Welcome to the West's world of having no grievence process easties.

Must be a helluva business that you never get to pay attention to because your "hobby" requires so many days per month. And you must be some business mastermind to allow a low-paying failed career consume so much time that could be put towards building your massive empire. Oh, right all you have to do is place some classified ads and watch the money roll in...

You'd really be money ahead if you just quit. A smart businessman would know that.

I wasn't there and will just have to take their word for it. I think had it been a simple majority we would have just seen one east candidate, as you did on the west, and the results would have been the same. East/west, majority/minority.

The simple fact is that the majority of pilots are tired of the politics and dirty tricks of the last 5 years, but still willing to keep the DOH/NIC fight going. Hopefully Judge Silver will give us some clear direction and the new leaders will take us in the right direction.

Now we will see which direction the interested pilots in the pilot group as a whole want to go. Frankly, I'm just thankful that the old guard didn't get elected. I don't see the "status quo" going forward no matter who wins the election.
