Of course I'm miffed, several more years of being led by fools. One of the nice things to see though was the numbers, they show the times they are a changin'. Your days of control are numbered, that's kinda cool. Gives me warm fuzzies.

The results show West still votes West and East still votes East. It's still a 2:1 margin. Times aren't changing on the key issue facing you. You say people are being led by fools but with 120+ barrel of oil coming, maybe more with conflict in Iran, and history showing the PHX leisure market vulnerability to that and you should be worried about the West leadership leading you down the path it has. Warm fuzzies should be the last thing you have or maybe the people you call foolish aren't so foolish after all.

Leisure market? You still hanging on to that?

And what path has our leadership been leading us down?

Are you even a pilot?

US Airways Group Inc. said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Wednesday that a multibillion-dollar runway and terminal expansion at Philadelphia International Airport could harm its finances and business operations and force it to shift flights elsewhere.
The airline, which transports nearly 70 percent of the airport's passengers, included the statement in its 2011 annual report to federal regulators. Its objections were already well-known to Philadelphia officials.
"If we are unable to operate profitably from Philadelphia, we may need to significantly reduce our business at Philadelphia, or move that business to another of our hubs," US Airways said.

What did you say about vulnerable hubs? PHL airport could price itself out of the market.

Rigged. I'm sure you will see it that way unless it helps you someday. When I asked why it was being done that way I was told it was so that a certain base couldn't put out a flood of candidates that would split the votes help a candidate win.

i.e. Phoenix- the largest pilot domicile. The truth will set you free!

So what's our alternative Einstein? Accept your DOH cramdown, sign a sub-standard contract (because you guys aren't capable of obtaining anything else unless Schofield is sitting across the table from you) and drop the fleet minimums, have PHX cut in half and furlough 1000 pilots?
Nope, I'm quite happy watching you atrophy on LOA93 for the remaining years, keeping the fleet minimums and waiting this thing out with my fellow west pilots. You fail to realize the worst is behind us westies, you and the company can't screw us any further- that turnup has been squeezed all it can. We gain NOTHING by dealing with you.
What this election shows me is we can all enjoy another three years of status quo. You control the union and pimped the by laws, what else can we do out west?

We all need to agree on nothing less than industry standard plus 1%, or something similar. We don't want a contract voted on just to acquire one seniority list or the other.

Could be the truth pre, I really don't know as I had nothing to do with the formation of the union or it's policies. During USAPA's formation a lot of west guys were saying it was war, they would fight it anyway they could, etc., so I'm sure that played a part. Thing is, before the merger we had problems within ALPA of the larger bases using the roll call to get their way. That could have been a factor. If we did it ALPA's way, you wouldn't have had any vote, the BPR would be electing them and do you think that would be better?

If it was a straight vote, Ferguson would have won, but with only the support of 35% of the pilots. Would that be fair? Plus, as I said, if the rules were different then the list of candidates would be different.

It is what it is. You got you vote just like I did, if you are a MIGS.

Majority DOES NOT rule. One can't pick and choose when it does.

It has nothing to do with us saying anything Pi. Ciabattoni knew, correctly, that the east would always be split between two factions. And with the west always voting in a bloc, the chances would be that we'd always win because the east would be splitting its vote.

It was about undercutting the west's ability to win an election and Dave will readily admit to this if you ask him.

Interesting too that you point out that a majority, even it is 35%, doesn't count in this cast.
