US Pilots Labor Discussion

There is no ambiguity here.

We agreed to have a neutral third party resolve our seniority dispute and then reneged on that agreement when we didn't like the result.

That is wrong whether you've been around one year or 30 years.
We agreed to allow our union to oversee the application of our seniority integration scheme. They failed to man up to their resposability and got what they deserved. Whether they had been our CBA a year or 60 didn't matter.

Interesting your usage of "easties" as apparently a derogatory term. One wonders as to where you based your flying career from. Perhaps it was not spent as an "eastie" yourself, but rather, as is evidently the case with your retirement, somewhere else....Perhaps orbiting Uranus?

I ask of all my friends; should the day come that I'm retired and can find nothing better to do with life than chat boards...someone...as a matter of simple kindness...just please shoot me! 😉

Eastie is a derogatory term which was made so AFTER you guys refused to recognize the previously agreed to arbitration. Your disingenuous and dishonest actions made it so. Those "easties" perpetuating this fraud are deserving of this derogatory term.

I believe Jim retired before (or very near) the time you earned your reputation and it is clear that he does not support your actions. He apparently enjoyed an honorable career, putting up with all of the same hardships that the rest of you whine about. Yet he doesn't whine.

The fact that he opposes your despicable behavior and consistantly argues with facts is a big thorn in your side and your responses against him are driven by your knowledge that you will never measure up to a man of his integrity.

Eastus, I am hoping I win the pool on when you have your next meltdown of the board.

I look every one of you in the eye and treat you with the respect you deserve until you show me otherwise. Try that out.
You (collectively) forfeited all claims to courtesy and respect with your vote to continue denying west pilots access to a better contract and continued further litigation. It seems a never ending source of glee for the east to giggle, "we fooled 'em again!" You fooled us when we went into good faith negotiations over seniority. You fooled the company when you proved you couldn't be trusted to operate your aircraft without alterior motive, and you fooled us with the Trojan Hummel.

Trust and respect are intertwined. You won't get one without the other. But you probably don't understand that anyhow.

Yeah, I do understand it and there are plenty of west pilots that do have my respect and plenty that don't. I try to separate them and I give the guy the benefit of the doubt before I put them in a group. I don't expect every west pilot to look at his shoes when he asks me for the jumpseat because of the actions of some west pilots. No matter who started the fire, there is plenty of bad behavior on both sides.

"

Then you didn't look. Page 12, item 3b.

"b. ALPA’s portion of Company profit-sharing pool will be no less than 36%."

We both know that the West is NOT under LOA93. The East MEC allowed the 36% to be divided with the West pilots in the Transition agreement. They were trying to buy friends. We see now how that turned out.

Driver...
And after the merger, was not ALPA's portion still no less than 36%? The LOA 93 language was followed to the letter. All that happened was that the merger resulted in more pilots entitled to a share of ALPA's 36% since more pilots worked for "the company".

You can try to explain it away all you want, but the plain language of LOA 93 entitles the west pilots to a share of the profit sharing. If you're going to make a stand on LOA 93, the union doesn't even get a say in how the pilots split that 36% up. You'll notice that the language sets up the profit sharing pool not just for pilots working under LOA 93 but for everyone working for the company. Who gets that other 66% of the profit sharing pool specified in LOA 93 if one has to work under LOA 93 to get profit sharing?

Jim

Well Jim,
.

However, at this point in time, you are highly suspect and IMHO have no right to ridicule those of us who are in this position today. I mean......we have all these senior Cpts standing up for those of us who lost pensions and took 65% paycuts, yet you sit there and ridicule everything that we post. I wouldn't say that there is no respect for you, but more of a hatred....I mean, it's similar to Wolf and his buddies running out with $35 million (tax free) just before bankruptcy was filed.....just thieves!

There is a huge difference in that behavior and what the East pilots are doing today.

breeze

I can't understand why all of these senior captains are standing up for you when all you do is brag about your attrition, ergo; you can't wait until they get out of your way for that coveted captain seat. Those senior captains must really be fools.

Jim doesn't ridicule your posts, he just counters them with facts. Maybe when facts go against you they are perceived as ridicule.

It is clear that you have a hatred of anyone who doesn't agree with you. No surprise.

I do agree that there is a huge difference in what Wolf and his buddies did and what the eastholes are doiing: Wolf and company ran out with $35 million after you GAVE them concessions. You eastholes were all standing around holding your joints as Wolf was waving goodbye. The eastholes continue to attempt to TAKE from the west yet the west continues to RESIST. That is a very big difference all right!

No Dog in this fight recap
Was it last year that I took a flight out of PHL and saw this protest of pilots about a contract, I dunno. However I was interested and googled info. It appeared that Captain Eastie Beastie Yellow Neckers were saying that Parker wont give them a contract, but ho ho ha ha, the facts are Parker cant do a contract because Captain Eastie Beastie Yellow Necker Pickleballer refused a binding arbritration award.

Then Captain Eastie Beastie Yellow Necker Pickleballer went to court to stop Parker from Parker trying to get clarity from the court on how to proceed in order to get a contract. Yuh wat, on one hand you want a contract on the other hand you are going to court to stop Parker from trying to proceed to get a contract, ok Captain Eastie Beastie Yellow Necker Pickleballer, yeah that makes a lot of sense.

So Captain Eastie Beastie Yellow Necker Pickleballer sais safety boo hoo safety boo, we are not safe, we must taxi slow, boo hoo, OH Captain Eastie Beastie sais: "not a slow down now not us ever" Judge sais fool stop this right now it is illegal, so captain eastie beastie yellownecker puts heads between legs and stops in its tracks.

According to google a few weeks ago judge slaps captain eastie beastie in the head and sais get that doo doo out of my court and dont come back you fool, I am tired of you.

Now along the way Parker tried a merger with United but united was not sure it could be pulled off because of the wording of the merger all because of Captain Eastie Beastie, so Continental was sniffing around and boom, that was the end of that.

Now Parker did get a dui, does he a have a problem? I dont know. however the dude knows what he is doing, he was the one that put two horrible airlines together and made it pretty much mediocre, a great feat indeed. Now it appears charlie sheen has a substance problem, he still is great entertainer, so just because one has a drinking problem or drug problem does not mean that they cant be brilliant at their job.

Parker was the leader of this consolidation, he has been preparing for the american takeover/merger for a long time, since the united merger did not work out. Parker knew years ago american would have to file in the near future, that is why parker got rid of lga, so DOT would stay out of the way of the american merger. Parker is a visionary, he just does not have the assets at us airways to do the job.

Captain Eastie Beastie Yellownecker Pickleballer, you guys arent stupid enough to screw up this merger with american are you? The combo would be a strong airline, not some half way mediocre mess.

Shame on you guys, shame on you, You guys really think you matter to the success of any airline? You are costing this airline money. If you were so unhappy, you should have pulled a midwest integrity pilot decision, they said no,, no cuts full pay to the last day, you Captain eastie beasties should have done this years ago at inception, not now, not for the last 6 years. The airline industry would have been much healthier if us airways went chapter 7 back in 2005, you had your chance to close down the airline, you blew it captain eastie beastie yellownecker picklerballer, now live with the consequences, live with your agreement with alpa, and let Parker merge without problems, GROW UP

One last thought for now, just remember "Captain Eastie Beastie Yellownecker PicklerBaller (dont even know it) I Have my own side business" just remember this, US airways, Parker and all us airways employees would be better off without you, they dont need you, they dont want you, you cost them money.

All will probably post in another few months when i read something else ridiculous that the captain eastie beasties think they are entitled to.

No dog in this fight. Riiight........

Eastie is a derogatory term.....

....that you will never measure up to a man of his integrity.

Dear Ames, from your above posting, this page: "It is clear that you have a hatred of anyone who doesn't agree with you. No surprise." Are there any reflective surfaces within the world you inhabit..perhaps a shaving mirror?

Sigh! While understanding that this reply is, almost certainly, a complete waste of time, and will fall upon uncomprehending eyes/ears...well...perhaps it's worth a try:

"Eastie is a derogatory term.."? Interesting. I don't find Westie to qualify as any such...and that's certainly not owed to any such expressive illuminati as yourself. The larger truth here is that ANYONE who's even remotely capable of assuming all knowledge of another human being, or frivolously assigning to them traits of character/behaviors/beliefs/etc, entirely by way of said person's membership in merely another work group....I won't even address prejudice based upon ethnicity/sex/nation/etc...Well; anyone earnestly capable of any such, immediately defines him/her self as a sorrowful entity, suffering through life with at best, the intellectual acumen and elegance of a flatworm.

As for the second?....Whew!...That's a blessed relief, as I must reasonably imagine that even my dog would turn on me were I to ever "measure up to a man of his integrity", by way of so clearly despising those I worked with for many years, and affording all of them any such mindless contempt 😉...see reference to flatworm above.....

PS: It's one thing to lose civility and perspective while arguing....It's another, entirely tragic issue when/if one actually lives a life sans the reasonable sense to evaluate any other person as an individual.

I can't understand why all of these senior captains are standing up for you ...........

No surprise there. If you could understand that....much of this situation might have been resolved with far better results.

IOW, "If you would just understand the value that you would enjoy if you simply handed your career over to the terrorists whom have declared Jihad against you, you'd be so much better off"

Tell you what. How about a deal? You Keep up your Extortion/Jihad/DFR/LMRDA violations/threats/Illegal work actions to the best of your abilities and we'll just keep on kicking your ass and watch you drown in LOA93. Deal?

You and breezy being exceptions, huh??? Seems you both do a lot of assuming about other people based on nothing but the group they belong to or the opinions they express...sorta the pot calling the kettle black...

I don't think you will have to worry about an AA/airways marriage. Other airlines saw the lying, cheating spouse for what they are. Easties can't be trusted and nobody with any sense would put a ring on the finger of these girls. I think the big boys at AA will follow in the footsteps of Delta pilots and leave the pickleballers at the altar.

Hardly so, good sir. You've my earnest promise that, in my estimation, you have the distinction of being in a class by yourself 😉
