Firstly; that's grossly offensive and is an entirely unfair usage of far too wide a brush, with which to tar your fellows!
Secondly; such an obscene suggestion omits critical details required for earnest consideration of any such, ie: What particular sauce are you considering?

What if the junior pilots voted that all senior pilots must work Christmas? Would you honor that vote?

Being no longer in that phase of life when children are in the house for Christmas; I work it, with the thought that doing so is a bit of a present to some younger pilot with young ones yet around.
Just a small caution; assumptive projections such as yours above say much more about those posting such than of any others......

You're almost right. The EAST pilots wrote a contract that was designed specifically to disenfranchise the west minority and then tried to ram their will down the throats (to put it politely) of the west pilots. Even ALPA knew better than to put themselves in the middle of determining the seniority integration and pawned it off onto the arbitrator. They were not supposed to pick winners and losers, but they forgot that and tried post award to curry favor with a group that had no loyalty to them whatsoever.

And no, ALPA provided no such vote. The only vote anyone gets is on the contract and each pilot has to choose whether they like fighting an unwinnable battle or if they prefer more money and better schedules at the expense of less than 18 months delay on upgrade.

It's that simple and you know it.

I've got a nanosecond to spare, explain to me the full, presumed basis for any "loyalty" to such spineless swine as would do as you noted above?...not to mention other "minor little issues" like giving away pensions without ANY vote from the membership/etc/ad nauseam.....

I'd say what I fully think....but...I'm striving mightily to sugarcoat things a bit.

Rumor has it that Mike Cleary was asking for 90+ days unused vacation. Three years vacation for a line pilot is only 63 days and we lose it if we don't use it. If this is true, what is so special about Mike that he deserves being treated differently than the line pilot?

Discussion continued from the previous day, dealing with unused vacation time by USAPA workers on AFB status. PHX Vice Chairman Eric Ferguson moved the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Pilot Representatives elects to deviate from the Union Operating Manual in order to accommodate unused vacation by outgoing USAPA President Mike Cleary.

After further discussion, a motion to table passed 7-4.

•For: CLT - Crimi, PHL, DCA - Dugstad, PHX - Braid, Scherff
•Against: CLT - Mckee, Ingram, DCA - Stein, PHX - Ferguson

Not so dangerous an assumption at all. One might, however wonder what an individual who employs a worthless, murderous terrorist as an avatar would have to offer by way of "education" in how any, even relatively free society, should conduct it's self....not to mention one who was determined to, and did avoid Service during time of war.
