I do think that would be best. You Easties couldn't find your "rectitude" with both hands. You are beneath contempt.

Sigh!...and here I was, really, quite desperately hoping for one of those way-cool-dude "Integrity Matters" T shirts...Oh well......."the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune"....

"To be, or not to be... ...Be all my (your) sins remembered". - Bill -

Honor is like an island, rugged and without shores; we can never re-enter it once we are on the outside. (Nicolas Boileau)

I live in a glass house, but this issue is not dead. Your honor may be tarnished, but you could always say, "It just took me a while to do the right thing...", and possibly regain some modicum of self-respect. For someone of your apparent intellect, your deceit, lack of integrity, empathy and remorse, clearly exhibit a "personality disorder characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for the rights of others and the rules of society", an easy diagnosis.

Indeed. Given a very minor participation within the entire human race; I certainly understand myself to be equally afflicted by any universal issues. Even you, (at least I'd have thought), couldn't have been so utterly obtuse as to have missed that. It's axiomatic, based on all of history, that "people will believe what suits them, I suppose." You'll perhaps excuse me, as I couldn't have reasonably imagined that such would assail you in the form of any massive epiphany....or even require the least explanation.

Keep digging....

Just wondered why, if everyone is afflicted, you singled out "some" westies and didn't point to a single eastie. Backpedaling makes you look bad - maybe you should go back to challenging everyone you disagree with to a dogfight. Or is your "dog" not big enough...

Jim

So...their reasons for eagerly embracing the nic, versus any other list, would be......what exactly?

Should the company and APA use a non Nic list the west can file an injunction preventing its use. An injunction would most likely be granted because the Nic is the result of final and binding arbitration. Should the east file an injunction preventing the use of the Nic it would most likely be denied for the same reasons. This is one of the main reasons the company filed the DJ.

If APA liked the deal and wanted the merger to happen then why would they deny the Nic and risk the west throwing a monkey wrench into the mix?

Cleared,

USA320Pilot comments:
Yep! I understand AOL and Andy Jacobs (AOL's attorney) have already met with APA and APA president Dave Bates. I'm not sure of what the discussions centered around, but I'm fairly certain Jacobs told Bates why the Nicolau Award will be affirmed as the US list if there is a merger between AA-US with a McCaskill--Bond SLI.

Furthermore, USAPA has taught APA (if they did not already know from their AirCal and Reno SLIs) why it is ok for a union to attempt to abandon a final and binding arbitration, violate the pilot's CBA that requires the Nicolau Award to be implemented, why it is ok for the majority pilot group to attempt virtually staple an entire pilot group to the bottom of the joint seniority list, and holding the entire pilot group hostage to bankruptcy era wages, benefits, and retirement.

Could the US Airways' F/As and Pilots end up with the Law of Unintended Consequences here?

USA320Pilot

Hasn't the east attempted to staple the west through DOH? Didn't they abandon joint negotiations when a contract was 90% completed, thus locking all of us in BK era wages and benefits? I don't believe that usapa has taught APA anything. They have only demonstrated clearly who they are and how they operate and APA will wipe the floor with them. Yaaaay us!

Funny how the West guys insist they know how the East will vote. We have not voted for the Nic in years. What makes you think we start now? Totaly clueless, again. The funny thing is watching the furloughed and junior F/O club here salivate, yet get denied the bone over and over, but continue begging. Fetch! Roll over. Good doggie.

yeah really and we all know there will be no strike, the west will scab east in a second...
just as they are trying to now...

If they wanted nothing they would put a big fence up... but obviously they want the left seat attrition CAPT jobs.

Indeed. So the term is, one must assume, best handled via printings on T shirts....worn with perverted pride, and backed by NOTHING whatsoever.
That being the apparent case; I'll leave it in your far more capable hands.....

....backed by those who honor their agreements. Yes, our hands are more capable. Glad you recognize that. Please explain how you can justify the actions of the east and then lecture us on integrity. Should be an interesting explanation considering your "prolific" style.

Get Mr. Woopee to fire up the Wayback machine and recommend that during negotiations 5 years ago. Oops, I forgot, the east lives in the Wayback machine.

I don't want "nothing". I pay 3K in union dues a year, I demand something in exchange for that.

Once again projection at it's finest. It is you east guys that are all hyped up about attrition and the left seat.

IF what you say were true. Explain why all the west captains that are already in the left seat are supporting the Nicolau? Could it be because they don't want east furloughed pilots being senior to them? Could it be because DOH screws the west captains as much as the west F/O's?

You guys need to get your head right. AA is going to love dealing with you guys. They have learned that you can't be trusted to stick to a deal. They will write the T/A very tight. They have way more money and way better lawyers to beat you with.

Heck the little self funded west group has beaten you guys for 4 years. How do you think it is going to work out with APA collecting dues from the east and funding law suits?

It is you east F/O's wanting the left seat. At least admit your own desires and stop projecting.

I agree with you on this except for the "you" part. It is "us".

Then you have the "A house divided against itself cannot stand".

What's going on with Judge Silver? The was supposed to be over by April.

Remember, the pilots and their furloughs are part of the reason you are employed today!

My best guess is she will rule in June. It would have been sooner except usapa insisted on 15 more pages in March. Still don't see what that extra $10,000.00 did for anyone but delay.

Maybe you can point out to us what was so critical in the last filing from usapa that the judge needed to know. what did usapa say that they had not said in the previous filings? Other than the delay what did those last 15 pages do for any of us?

What would put me in a position to know that?
You do have access to the filings. You sure have expressed many opinions. You are capable of reading.

What in those 15 pages was so important to tell the judge that usapa had not said in hundreds of pages and oral arguments before? It is your dues money being spent. Do you care? Was it wasted?

Cleary now after spending whatever it took in the Addington case is suing Seham because he says Seham overcharged us. Could it be that the new law firm overcharged us by filing excessive paperwork? You guys never question this stuff.

So I am asking in your opinion what was so critical in those 15 pages that delayed the decision at least a month and cost several thousand dollars?
