US Pilots Labor Discussion

The Ninth said there would an unquestionably ripe DFR if USAPA is stupid enough to include a DOH seniority integration in the T/A it sends out, if that's what you're referring to. Sorry to break it to you, but you won't get enough NO votes to hold the NIC at bay. But on the off chance you do, the company will call for a 30-day cooling off period, the pilots will be released, the smart ones will watch the pitiful picket line crumble in an hour or so (from their cockpits) and they will immediately vote in whatever is slid under their noses in a NY minute.

DOH has no viable future and neither does squatting to capture attrition that you have no rightful claim to. Either way it's the NIC. You only choice is NIC with cash or without.

Funny how the West guys insist they know how the East will vote. We have not voted for the Nic in years. What makes you think we start now? Totaly clueless, again. The funny thing is watching the furloughed and junior F/O club here salivate, yet get denied the bone over and over, but continue begging. Fetch! Roll over. Good doggie.

Look at you you cheeky thing. Someone came out to play today!

I will deal with you later. Got to get my run in. It's the long one today.

Better make it a short run if you want to tangle with me. 😀

9pm here in Europe and I am up early in the morning,

Good day.

...... the pilots will be released, the smart ones will watch the pitiful picket line crumble in an hour or so (from their cockpits).....

Other, less kindly terms exist for "the smart ones" you imagine, but...thanks for so clearly demonstrating your own, personal, innermost core....ummm..."values".
Hey!...Can I have one of those cute little "Integrity Matters" T shirts?...even if I'm personally unable to join "the smart ones" in any such fantasized scenario? 😉

Gads!...it's break time. Interacting with some "people", even if just on the internet, can induce spiritual nausea......

Unbiased Facts Update (Out of Control Union Taxation): April 13, 2012

Dear Subscriber,

Update for April 13, 2012

Quick Fact #233: In the event of a merger announcement, USAPA could assess every pilot $100 immediately, in addition to raising dues by ½% to 2.45%. All of this would be in addition to a possible extension of the PIC assessment. US Airways pilots are already burdened with highest dues and assessments in the country with zero economic gains to show for it. Should we continue this trend or change course?

US Airways' pilots currently pay more in dues and assessments than any pilot group in the entire United States! Now the PIC is reportedly considering seeking a fourth year of assessments, the BPR is discussing a $100 assessment if a corporate transaction is announced, and then the BPR can order a whooping 1/2 percent dues increase for the corporate transaction.

The fourth year PIC assessment could be $540, the merger assessment $100, and a 1/2 percent dues increase could be about $700/year for Group II TOS Captains and about $475/year fro Group II F/Os.

At least the potential $1,340/year Captain and $1,1150/year F/O TOS increase in additional monies paid to USAPA are tax deductible.

As the lowest paid pilots in the legacy and national airline industry with the union's negotiations "parked" by the NMB...at least the pilots might have the money to pay their union dues and assessments that could climb to about 40% more than any other pilot group or risk having their union seek the pilot's termination for not paying these fees.

The PIC is considering......the BPR is discussing.....and the BPR can order......And all the while, the APA is meeting with AOL, but you're not really sure of the details...

Good God, Chippy, the sky is falling!!!!

Again, unbiased, my ass!!!

Perhaps it has thus far, escaped you entirely, but; such is a universally shared affliction for the entire human race.
A change of heart??? Let me quote your entire post to refresh your memory...

Although I'm not personally involved with any upgrade concern; I've long wondered at the west thinking on that myself. None I've worked with seem any too enthusiastic about limiting their future left seat potential. Oh well...people will believe what suits them, I suppose.

Seems you were wondering about west thinking and close with "people will believe what suits them, I suppose."

Now you're sure that this is "a universally shared affliction for the entire human race" and not just the "west thinking" you were wondering about. Which means, assuming that you're human, you're afflicted as well as your east pals...

So again, you and the easties are proof that people will believe what suits them. "Nic is DOA", "a contract including Nic will never pass", easties will "wait for the upgrade" rather than everyone have more money, etc - believing what suits you...

Indeed. Given a very minor participation within the entire human race; I certainly understand myself to be equally afflicted by any universal issues. Even you, (at least I'd have thought), couldn't have been so utterly obtuse as to have missed that. It's axiomatic, based on all of history, that "people will believe what suits them, I suppose." You'll perhaps excuse me, as I couldn't have reasonably imagined that such would assail you in the form of any massive epiphany....or even require the least explanation.

Mrbreeze,

No, the sky is not falling. The BPR just passed a resolution on a merger assessment and the C&BLs already created a 1/2% merger dues increase. The facts are: That's about an $800 per year Group II TOS Captain union tax increase and $600 per year Group II TOS Captain union tax increase with the potential of another year of fruitless PIC assessments.

Meanwhile, USAPA has not provided one tangible benefit to the pilots in 4 years.

Just the Lowest paid, highest taxed, and likely even more union taxed pilots in the entire U.S.!

Just the facts versus the spin zone.

USA,

You're repeating yourself enough, but maybe using too many words for these idiots.

Here, let me try:

USAPA
USAPA Failure
USAPA Epic Failure
USAPA Very Expensive Epic Failure

Now, let's see if that works.

Who am I to deny you the harvest you have sown?

You seem to handle the term "integrity" so awkwardly. Perhaps you should just leave it alone.

Indeed. So the term is, one must assume, best handled via printings on T shirts....worn with perverted pride, and backed by NOTHING whatsoever.
That being the apparent case; I'll leave it in your far more capable hands.....

It took you 31 minutes to come up with that after your initial post? LMAO! Good one.

With you flying across the pond all the time I'd have thought you more familiar with the vernacular on that side of the world.

How is it you know how what gay sounds like?

I do think that would be best. You Easties couldn't find your "rectitude" with both hands. You are beneath contempt.
