US Pilots Labor Discussion

how is alpa doing, helping the united and continental pilots obtain a new contract?
I think you just really like to hear yourself talk. Don't you understand that no one here cares about your obsession with ALPA, UA, and 767Jetz? And that no one is listening to you?

What is your point here? That UA pilots are battling a CEO who wants to give nothing to the employees? Gee Sherlock, what a revelation! You come up with that all by yourself?

Here's what you are actually illustrating: The UA and CO pilots are unified and fighting management TOGETHER. We are fighting each other because people like you can't stand by your agreements, let go of the past and your feelings of entitlement, or get past the idea that everything is not your way or the highway.

ALPA is gone. You made your bed. Seep well in it. Eventually the courts will enlighten you junior. Get over it already.

Or don't. No one really cares.

Now another question, if an east pilot is a '99 hire furloughee, who wants to scab his fellow pilot's job, why does he fixate on ALPA and UAL?
That's an easy one nic4us. Because he failed to make it through their hiring process and was turned away more than once. UA didn't want him, so he ended up at USAirways only to be furloughed by the only company that was dumb enough to hire him in the first place.

Tell us all what sumaradrson is showing by his postings. Please, let's have your honest assessment of a fellow east pilot.

doh nogo,

The entire readership of this thread knows sumanderson can't even spell his own name backwards, is a complete idiot, rumored to be a '99 hire who was deep in the furlough ranks, and is now trying to cause trouble by posting irrelevant history of AWA, and for an even stranger reason links to issues at UAL.

Trying to one up this poster by pointing out that he took a job in '99 at the worst major airline flying, is not going to prove anything, especially to a scab wanabee who was hired long after those tragic accidents occurred.

Sorry mate, but thats complete horse####. I have been visiting in the states and i ride on SW all the time.
Most recently, this is the deal:
(25 year CA and 10 year FO)
FO- this is bull####, now I'm never gonna upgrade...
CA- sure you will, what are you talikng about...?
FO- this stupid Airtran deal...all those guys are gonna hop in front of me...I have 10 years...
CA- No they're not...I'm on the XYZ board...I'm at the meetings...
FO- yeah? what is the deal?
CA- I don't want to use the word "staple"...but no Airtran pilot is taking your seniority...

DIRECT QUOTES.

Pure BS..

Sounds like more of that Usapian spin. How long did it take for you and NYC to dream up this stuff? Both of you use the word staple. That's what we should have done to you guys after the acquisition. I think Nic was being too kind putting our pilots 500 numbers down the list from the start.

By posting this you are showing your youth and inexperience!

Youth and inexperience.

History shows HP had a much better safety record. There is an established history of being in the yellow or red at US AIR. Seems to be a pattern. I was able to do my job fine without saying the word verify a thousand times. It's either checked or set.. Triggers, love them too. You need a trigger to find your bottle of Geratol in the morning?

Just like the long and wordy US Airways, you guys are all talk and get nothing done.

We sure are an angry little beaver aren't we? Ten mean spirited posts in just more than 2 hours. Keep posting your OLD stories and vile lies. We all are neither impressed nor amused with your cyber-bully techniques. I guess as a former furloughed AAA pilot with no integrity, you have no choice but to grasp as straws.

I'd be careful what you say to NYC. He has friends who work on the dock. They like to meet pilots who don't tow the Usapian line.

Are you saying that SWA is not going to follow the self described by usapa "gold standard" of DOH? How could usapa or any supporter of usapa allow that to happen. Where is the outrage? The attacks on the SWA pilots for not supporting "industry standard" of DOH?

That is what we have been told by east pilots that they are fighting for the industry, a "moral obligation" to right all of the wrongs in the world. Now it turns out that the SWA pilots the same pilots that the east pilot worship as working for the best company and envy them. Don't believe in DOH. Never have.

I suspect the "education" campaign to start soon.

Just another failed attempt by guys like Holmes, Burman and Vaughan reviving the concerned pilots (of ALPA) waste of time. West pilot demands are a waste of time. The "reform USAPA" movement has the same chance of change like CM, he who shall not be named.

Cactus53, are you one of those three?

Just curious.

We're now moving up the attrition ladder just fine without you.

Good luck....with that!

I don't believe that for a second.

SWA pilot accusing USAPA of undermining "industry seniority norms?"

SWA STAPLES airlines they purchase (with their own money, mind you.) That is, until they purchased a union carrier (AirTran) post McCaskill-Bond. They can't get away with it this time.

So, that SWA pilot thinks their staple history of staple jobs is industry norm?

Any other stories you wish to concoct here? You should write fables for children.

How would you know what SW pilots think when you sitting on the dock with your "friends?" Is it an industry norm to cheat binding arbitration? Let's just throw out all arbitrated decisions because USAPA set the "gold standard" of cheating a process.

You are not in any position to lecture any pilot about aviation industry norms, bus driver.

I don't know where you got idea WE worship them. SWAPA learned from the best.....PIEDMONT and AMERICAN! How to staple pilots!

I don't know how much time you've spent with East crews, apparently not much, but SWA has never been a role model when it comes to flying or common sense.

Southwest was below industry pay rates for years until sept. 11. When the rest of our industry, labor included, had to take pay cutsnto survive, it just so happens that the contracts they negotiated became the better because our carriers took cuts.

I see the "bs" camapign has already started from you.

Good luck with that.

Sometimes it's better to remain silent instead of helping to prove your detractors correct.

Ignore the history and it all goes away. Plug your ears and go la,la,la. I'd be embarrassed too if my airline had such a poor record. When I was handed that tail pin of the black bird I threw it in the garbage on my way out of the chief pilot's office.

That's what I think of US Air's legacy.

We've got one heck of a legacy with guys and gals like you too junior.

Snap this.....

Good luck.
