Which are all served by Southwest, United, Delta, American, and Jetblue.

Why should people fly USAirways when they can walk across the terminal and get better service on one of the other carriers?

Do they want to fly with pilots wearing yellow lanyards intentionally causing them to miss their connections?

A very vital airline? Are you serious?

Unfortunately Trader....Doug has proven that 98% of the passengers out there don't care about "service". They look online for the cheapest fare first, convenience second, and service is the last thing on their list. If our fares are $1 cheaper than Southwest, United, Delta, American, and Jet Blue, our planes will be full and apparently we can make money doing this. Do I like this model of flying that we do??? No.....but it is what it is.

The tent already came down in Las. Then PHX. You are flying 24% of East flying now because you have no place out there to move your toys anymore in PHX. I really don't want to see PHX come down anymore, but it is pretty scary seeing how much power SWA has there, and they want it all. They usually get what they are after. The danger is exactly what you were told at WYE RIVER. You have kept the circus tend divided, and if they do fold the PHX tent a little tighter, well, all the risk lies with the west.................

You keep telling us that PHX is shrinking or will close. If you believe that and it is true why would we ever agree to the non-protection of the C&R? That means that 20-30% of west pilots would be subjected to straight DOH and a commute.

BTW it was the east that wanted separate ops forever. You are getting exactly what you wanted. Not working out for you? We are just going along with what you want. I guess you forgot because it does not fit your fantasy. Separate ops leaves the T/A in place. That includes min block hours and fleet. PHX can't "fold the tent" anymore. With a new contract usapa does not have the abilty or desire to protect a base. Plus attrition will start soon and when we retire it is out of the left seat. Not the right or from leave. We are better off with the contract and T/A we have. Enjoy LOA93.

We have competed against SWA for years this is nothing new for us. SWA must really scare you.

OK swanny, take out your pencil and takes some notes on the history of the airline you now work for, America West.

Do you know why LAS existed as a hub? Of course not. AWA made money with high utilization (we didn't shut down at 5PM on Saturdays like we do now) and thus we operated late night flights from LAS to the east coast with reduced fares. This worked for the passengers trying to maximize their time at the tables, and it worked for AWA positioning planes in east coast cities for the morning push. Now those east coast cities already have aircraft in position, so a LAS hub isn't necessary.

As for SWA, AWA has battled them in PHX with greater and lesser degrees of success for 28 years. How long did US last when they came to BWI, a week (sp?)?

Right now Parker has the luxury of allowing the east to play their game. When real money gets involved, I think the location of all the risk will become quite clear.

I just saw one of the west crews checking in early this morning in MCO. The Captain had a yellow sticker on his personal bag saying "USAPA = SCAB".

If I see that again I'll be reporting it to the Chief Pilot as hate speech, if any of you have it on your bags I'll be kicking you not only off the Jumpseat but also off the aircraft.

I have no problem with your political views here or even in person whether one side or the other but I guarantee you that having that sticker on your bag will get you booted off the aircraft and an event report filed with the Feds.

If the "majority" of your fellow west pilots support this hate speech continue down the path and see what happens. If I were black would you put on your bag "blacks=n****rs" or how about"female=c**ts" if I were a woman?

I would have cornered him about it when I came into the lobby but he just checked in from PHX, evidently a red-eye crew. He saw me looking at it and hi-tailed onto the elevator before i could confront him. I believe the desk clerk said flight 575. If you know him you better warn him.

"Corner him"? Are you sure about that? The chief pilots are pretty aware of what's on flight bags and they have bigger fish to fry. But threats? Now that's another matter...

Make sure you warn the famous East "Stickerboy" for placing similar material on the clipboards and elsewhere on company aircraft and facilities.

You can't have it both ways, so make sure you include the East in your "event report" with the Feds.

And please, please call the Chief Pilot immediately with your report. I'd love to hear their response. Please post it when you get it.

And don't forget. USAPA started the Lanyard/Sticker Campaign.

Go look on any of the options tracking sites. This was supposed to go last month. Look at the grants to so many of the Airways officers. They are loaded for this deal to the max. You guys fine with JBlu? I think that is a decent hook up.

I'm just asking if you are willing to stand by your statement if nothing transpires in seventeen days which is about 3-5 times more than a "few" depending on how one measures such an inexact quantity. What will you tell us if July 1st comes and there is no announcement?
