Well lookie here, from the apa meeting:

Subject: Notes from APA Meeting

Name stays AA
HQ in DFW
US comes to Oneworld (hurts UAL)
Pay banding
Starting point is current green book.
5.5% raise on date of signing
3% / yrs 2-6, then avg of UAL/DAL
A319 no longer a sep payband
Vac goes to 3+40/day. Better accrual
Hard freeze & 14% DC Plan
PBS. US West pilots love it. Well managed. Lines 83. P/u to 90. Keep current rigs.
Scope committee is "giddy" with what is offered. Parker doesn't understand code share. He wants the revenue. Max Dom code share = 4% of total asm's.
Keeping AA's Boeing/Bus order. Very excited to get 787.
Unsure about AE. Parker wants to see books then decide. Hates 50 seaters. Prob convert most 319 orders to 320/321's.
Med costs will go from 14% to 17% (I think 1113 had it going to 26%.
Not a sure thing, but APA seems quite confident. No timeline given, more than 2 mos, possibly by end of summer. Horton is said to be steaming mad.
Seniority may go to expedited arbitration. Expect percentile in type over any DOH (aka DAL/NWA)
US East guys will get about 25-30% raise out of this.

Also from the APA folks: "How would my seniority be affected by a combination of American Airlines and US Airways?

Airline industry seniority integrations are now governed by the McCaskill-Bond Amendment, which became law in 2007. McCaskill-Bond requires a “fair and equitable” integration of seniority lists and includes a provision for a negotiated settlement between the parties"

I've no personal projection whatsoever as to how all this may go down, but: I see no mention of any absolute requirement for even a single/combined US list, nothing that even references the nic, and...ummm....just who would be engaging in "a provision for a negotiated settlement between the parties"? AOL? We'll all have to just wait and see what happens. Feel free to wear out however many sets of pom poms you deem appropriate in the meanwhile. Things might go your way...or not. Only time will tell.

So you think 3 airlines are merging? What is the only list accepted in writing at LCC at this time? Are we not in Silver's court to see if you can change the accepted list?

No..he thinks usapa will be able to cut a deal with the APA that uses a non-Nic integration, where the LCC pilots are arranged in an order other than the Nic and then fenced into a given fleet count for say 10 years.

So, usapa cuts a deal for say 30 widebodies and 240 narrowbody for the LCC pilots for ten years who are now arranged in a DOH order. Being that usapa is the CBA they can cut a deal and avoid McCaskill-Bond altogether.

won't work and here is why......APA inherits the DFR from the scabs.

I honestly make no assumptions as to how it will all shake out, if it indeed happens, as now seems more likely. What is the representative union for the LCC pilots? What does said union's constitution require?....We could play at this nonsense indefinitely. Let's just wait and see what actually happens.

No..he thinks usapa will ...

Yet another brilliant "mind reading" success story on your part. What portion of: "I honestly make no assumptions as to how it will all shake out" seems so difficult to comprehend?
Perhaps you've acquired some perverse need to just start frothing at the mouth regardless, and must needs find or manufacture some "basis" from which to do so. Sad really, as I recall actually civil and reasonable conversations with you long ago.....

USAPA is irrelevant, the USAPA constitution is pointless and violates not only MB but the Nicolau arbitration. You guys are finished- I feel so good today! How are you doing???

What a wonderful day...The news just keeps getting better!
I wonder how 9 piece is doing? Maybe another eating binge after this latest setback? 😱
