WEAR IT ANYWAY - MASS ROLLOUT PROTEST

I asked that idot Steve N. in the crew service center for a sweater and 1 pair of pant's months ago and he said "no", that we don't have any pieces anymore.
That's constructive, to call a fellow employee an idiot because he gave you information that it sounds like he has no control over.

Has TwinHill picked up their coconut phone on a string and called to say when they may have it together. They are a 2 bit operation and I will bet you anything came in under Cintas and other uniform vendors on price. Is was the high cost to cheap once again. Who is responsible? US AIRWAYS for picking an under prepared vendor. As a product manager you are ultimately responsible. PERIOD.
Are we talking months or weeks for this mes?

Just the tip of the iceberg for the sanddune crowd---low bidder gets it all---yikes---one good thing they need to look at for phone bills is a "MAGICJACK" device---they could save a ton of money on phone bills----ooops no low bidder on this one

He is an idiot, have you ever talked to him?????

He probably can't add 2+2, just what the company wants, someone to do just exactly as told, someone that can't look outside the box, someone not too smart......someone that can be a pawn.....

and furthermore, PP was giving out uniform pieces to to others, so, yes, they are around, or were around 7 months ago, just SN wouldn't budge because he probably read some memo that told not to give f/a's anything. Geez, then why was PP able to give f/a's who were wearing ratty sweaters, torn pants new items? I flew with people with new stuff on and that is where they got it. Unfortunately the day I went in there 7 months ago SN was working not his relief guy PP.

You don't know what you are talking about with SN. You must be a person friend of his!
I predict he won't be around in the long run once West Mgmt realizes how stupid he is.

Beachboy I totally agree. Though we don't want to blame Sherri or the heavenly USairways it is USairways that chose this two bit vendor. Did US do any investigating as to the Twin Hill history? Did they check to see if other companies were satisfied with their business? Does anyone DARE contradict the fact that US chose Twin Hill (ever hear of them before) to produce the uniform over Cintas, UTY or Lion Apparel even? I'd say that Twin Hill came in way under what others were willing to produce it for. I mean really then we got a designer. Stan Herman, Stan Herman. How many of you have "Stan Herman" hanging in their damn closet? PLEASE! ! ! ! 🙄 Us took the cheap road and just LOOK where it got us. Well if anything at least US is consistent. FIND the person at US who is responsible for this and send them to Hong Kong or Indonesia where the uniform is made and have him join the sweatshop crowd to get production moving.

We should continue to wear our uniforms "as is." They truly reflect the state of this company right down to the beige blouses and pearl necklaces that haven't been part of the uniform for at least six years. I imagine that the flight attendants still wearing them consider the look to be a badge of honor to show their seniority. All the rips, holes and whatever else truly reflect the same in the current contracts and the company not willing to negotiate in good faith.

No, I have no idea who this person is, but it doesn't seem to be very constructive to insult one of your fellow employees here.

Well, I don't know if you are an employee or outsider, but, he is right in the office in PHL. Go have a conversation with him, you will see what I mean. Duh!

What I was saying is the uniforms were right there, in the back room, and US was so cheap and wanted to send them back instead of giving them to us, to save money, and only PP saw that we needed them and gave them out. So SN, follows any stupid rule there is. Even at the expense of someone wearing rags to work.

Larry, Moe and Curly........are you hiding in there? And yes, US hires low level managers, at ridiculousy low wages ($35,000 yr), who will do whatever they say, jump off a bridge, run into traffic, sit on their head and spit wooden nickles, because that's what managment likes around this place, for lower managers to not question, just to enforce stupid policies. Some take the job to get the mgmt experience, and then move up or move on, and then there are the schmucks who think they hit the big time with the title "Manager" and make $35,000 a year! And stay forever..........like, well, guess who.

Just curious, does anoyone know who the product manager from US Airways is that is repsonsible for this mess?

Yep, I forecast that we won't be wearing the uniform until July!!!! I asked that idot Steve N. in the crew service center for a sweater and 1 pair of pant's months ago and he said "no", that we don't have any pieces anymore. My uniform looks like sh**! So I will still wear it and feel like a schelp wearing it because they won't give me anything else........and I asked for stuff in Sept and here it is almost March!!!! 7 months ago, way to go managemnt.

Way to go Sherri S.! 😱 I would rather wear the new uniform and my old coat then the threads I am wearing now!

It maybe a pliminary sign that the company is either being sold or acquired by another carrier..

But really, if/when we are acquired, I hope it's a Legacy carrier that wants to stay a Legacy... and improve it's product. I've heard American has gone downhill. I'd love to be shooting across the sky in a shiny polished aluminum tube. And I bet they'd buy us glassware... and for the Westies, it's always been American Western to the customers anyway... not much of a name change.

SERIOUSLY though. We should take a scientific poll, whoever knows how to do them, not that there's a killer amount of f/a's on here, I really need to concentrate. If "Tempe" is so worried about saving a buck, and I know a lot of f/a's would agree, let's get rid of those infested pillows and blankets. We have to fold them ourselves on the west. It's really cool to see all the hair and stains and unidentified liquids on those things, and by really cool, I mean  I know this topic has been brought up before. Of course, keep them in Coach Elite, but maybe even sell them in Coach. I believe Air Canada sells them for $5 or something. This could be a way to save the money and time of washing them. Haha, we could even just start selling the ones we currently have. Fluff up the pillows, use some industrial-sized Febreeze on the blankets, throw them in a bag for $5. When we're out, we're out. Then, that brings up how I HATE selling products onboard, but seriously, I bet we'd sell two/flight, like the headsets.

don't be stupid guys. this will not acheive a thing. you can blame sherri all you want but this is not her fault. this is a twin hill issue. they could not deliver the product in the time frame that they promised to the company . it is not her fault that many people still do not have their uniform items. it is twin hills fault. there are things that yes we can blame managment but this isn't one of them. we could blame them for using twin hill though. but who knew they could not deliver.

you can reply back and call me a koolaid drinker or what ever the f## you want but sherri is not the person who is shipping the uniforms to your home. twinhill is.
and i will stand by what i just wrote. trust me managment is as pissed as we are that the uniform rollout will be postponed.

Well, you are prob right about Sherri not delivering your uniform. (god did I say that...ugh. That will be the first and only time) But when the company wont replace any item that are worn out, now that's just bad management. My jacket is falling apart and both pair of pants that are wearing so thin.
My boxers shorts will be showing through soon. Guess I'll make sure I wear a pair at this point. No Brittney Spears here.=P
Good old Phl inflight told me NO NO NO to new orders for replacement. HUMMM...doesn't out union contract say we have
the right to get replacement pieces?

on replacement pieces.. yes that is a management issue which they need to address. as long as we have to wait to wear the new uniform and are required to wear the old then they should be able to replace pieces when warranted.
