WEST/EAST transition training classes

Well the next one is in 2053...that's not too bad huh?
Well thats really about right...that will be my 54th year of flying. So almost perfect timing.

Sthrnboy rolls his eyes real well (you know the southern belle attitude), we had a speaker come into class and when he rolled his eyes at her she said ....

"don't you roll your eyes at me!!!!"

I almost fell out of my chair. He had to send an apology letter. Eye rolling is not allowed out west.....
LOL....I assure you that would not happen on the EAST! What was she talking about when this eye roll took place?

I was a question about the videos/Inflight Mag's... and she told me "THAT"S NOT MY JOB"...
I then rolled my eyes... 🙄 🙄 🙄 ...
Then she told me in front of the whole class. "DONT YOU ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME" while pointing her finger at me. and her hands on her hip...

I had three big Sistahs sitting in front of me and not only was there some serious eye-rolling, but they did the whole chicken-neck thing and kept flipping their heads around (excorcist-style) back at us. I was afraid :cold:

I flew charter for a while, ALL D.O.D. flying, went all over with the HOTTEST boys ever. Good times in the lower deck galley's 🙂

sounds like training is better on the east side...
😛 Lots to watch.
Now how many times do I have to tell you not to show everybody this picture of me on the j/s after that long MSY, that was the best hair day I ever had, and for the record when I vomitted that pea soup it also came out the other end and got one of my greek leaves dirty   😛h34r:  I guess I just lost my spot on ATH. 🙁

Ok - While it has been fun reading these posts - seriously - I am confused. Over at East - if passengers remain onboard on a thru flight and you can't get them off the plane who stays? The A stays at West - and hate to say it but it is usually the most junior person because no one senior wants to work first. Even with the pay differential I have not seen any change in bidding. I have been at West 22 years and always bid B. I usually fly with the A that is at least 2 years behind me. A stays and I go home.... although I don't see it happening that often. The crew is usually there and I haven't seen the A stay behind for quite awhile.

Any F/A(s) - how many depends on the plane. A pilot can even stand in for a F/A provided the passengers are informed and the pilot stays in the foward cabin.

Interesting - I always work the "bus" so it is only 1 that stays and pilots can never substitute for a f/a. You guys have such relaxed policies at East. REALLY HOPE it comes out West. Looking forward to working with you.

Nope. Pilots can no longer fill in for an FA on the East.

When the minimum crew is 1 the "A" must stay. They cannot have another FA fill in for them. If the minimum crew is two then it is "A" and "B", and so forth (going front to back, front to back).

The "A" will also do a secondary cabin check after everybody is off the AC and another crew is not taking over the plane.

You can *always* get thru pax off the plane in a polite manner.... Trust me..... 😉

This changes May 1st.

There is no word yet that a change in "who is responsible to remain on board" has been determined. It's not in the current training program, I'll find out for sure and get back to you.

By the way...is anyone going to attend classes in CLT this week (week of 15th)?
