I for one hope we keep LGA as a crew base...I'm a US West FA and commute from NY and it's getting harder and harder to commute, getting tired of the jumpseat, sit for a few hours in PHX before checking in...than have a long duty day. Lately I've been going in a day before and staying at hotel just so I wouldn;t have to commute the same day, and also working 7-8 days, putting trips together. And thats hard being away from home that long....hopefully when we're one airline, I will be looking where to sign or bid for the transfer, can't come soon enough.....so here's hoping the small crew bases stay open....

You do know you can now jumpseat on East if you need to. HINT... go thru CLT where there are fewer commuters to PHX. Also, for now, the A321 is flying out to PHX and has 7 jumpseats and uses 4. There would be no problem jetting across the fruited plane that way.
