What's new

Will you hold a vote no sign at the gate of TULE?

Latin is the basis for a multitude of words in out common language of English. Therefore if someone calls themselves anything, the probability of a correlation to the Latin is probable. So I believe the DNTulsa was correct.

It's the American Dinasour Vilociraptor, note the Avatar pic.
Let's not be Extremists ...... That's never a good thing, moderation is much more sensible & Logical, hey what's with all the Teamsters stickers plastered everywhere ??
BTW I have not placed Any stickers around the base.

Guess No one is going to accept Tom's sign holding offer ..... Surprise surprise.
It's way easier to type on a keyboard than stand in front of the base holding a sign that may not be popular while thousands of Employees drive by. ;-).

Buck & DNTulsa are you voting for this contract ?? If the answer is no how come your not accepting Tom's offer to stand on the corner with a Vote No sign with him ??
I know your not ...... Scared to face the masses during shift change .... Right ??

Of course I am voting....

Next you will be claiming everyone is scared of AMFA....

LOL Tom if your not allowing Teamster supporters there then that sure limit's your potential vote no sign holder group B)
If you don't want them there then I'm sure they won't be there because it's your party .... you called it, looking forward to seeing how many courageous AMFA guys will be there with you. B)
Might be a good opportunity for some AMFA publicity as well if the guys who show up were to proudly wear their AMFA shirts ..... since Teamster supporters aren't welcome, I suspect your going to be alone on the corner this time Tom.

Last time was fun & I agree there were a lot more thumbs up than thumbs down.
Good luck.
Dan this is not an AMFA or Teamsters thing. It is all about getting a no vote. It doesn't matter who you support as a barganing unit. That is the point I am trying to make. So we don't need banter about Teamsters VS AMFA or anything else. It is all about getting out the no vote. I do think after seeing the responses that I will be alone out there but that is ok. I was alone before. It would have looked really good with a dozen or so, but I guess people are too busy. So good job of reading something into the post that was not there. The point is that ALL are welcome to join me be you an AMFA, Teamsters or TWU supporter. The common ground is that we can all agree that a yes vote means the end of our careers. So if you can't swallow your love of a certain barganing unit then by all means stay away. But if anyone wants to stand up and be counted then come on out. I'll keep watching to see if anyone wants to join me. If not then there is no use in saying when I will be out there.

Don't depend on volunteers from this message board. Recruit co-workers in your area, and have them get people, I'm sure you can get a good showing with a little help from the guys you work with. Remember, your not the only one in Tulsa who feels this way.

No I haven't met anyone who said they were scared of AMFA, I have met some who say they don't like AMFA for various reasons & have also met some who said they don't like Teamsters for various reasons & that's fine we don't all have to agree.

Tom the only reason I mentioned Teamsters is because you said (But I reserve the right to banish Raptorman if he even mentions the Teamsters) if it weren't for that statement nothing about the competing unions would have been mentioned, I am not a Teamster fanatic or an AMFA fanatic as I have said many times I don't care which competing Union wins because eventually we will have a 6 year contract so a new Union won't have any impact on me.
Keeping the TWU won't even effect me but I like the rest am entitled to my opinion of my perception of how things are.

That's the point he isn't depending on volunteers from this message board ....... from what I have seen the odds of a keyboard warrior volunteering are zero .... In fact it's comical to even suggest it but most co-workers at the base seem to have the same affliction as keyboard warriors believe it or not ...... All talk but no action.
If AMFA had 20 Men of the caliber of Tom who are willing to bravely stand in front of the base or approach total strangers to solicit cards then they would have a chance but alas there aren't that I have seen, Tom I suggest you make it known when your going to be standing on the corner with your Vote NO sign so any real Men courageous MEN who want to show up can do so, I'm conflicted about how I feel about this contract myself because of the TWU being the bargaining agent so wasn't really planning on protesting this one but I will stand out there with you if you want me too.

That was an attempt at humor Dan and I am sorry you misunderstood. You had the nerve to hold a sign the last time, so you don't need to prove anything to anyone.

Here's an option for ya. Hold a vote YES sign and vote for the TA. Then if you can't stand working there any longer take the Early Out, grab the $39,000.00 they are offering you, sever your ties and hit the road....Just a thought B)

Too young to retire, too old to get hired into another job. Why don't you vote no and then go into management? You seem suited for that kind of job. Tag you're it.

You don't have to retire. Just take the money and run. Go elswhere and then be sure to come back here and tell us how good you got it with your new employer... 🙂
