He might of thought that...And therein lies the problem. At the very least, once he saw the overwhelming "NO" votes, he could have changed his tune, or admitted that in hindsight it was't such a good deal.

But to stand in front of an entire room and flatout say he still thinks it was good just shows how out of touch he is with the floor.

Not really. You might have received raises, but in return many many Field stations got flushed down the tubes. Since you're in a Class II city, you out of anyone on here should have been shouting from the rooftops against that.

Shaky indeed. That's why you lock in Scope first, and build from there. Your above statement just reinforces the very real concept that dozens of stations would be closed in the next few years.
I don't know enough about your COC to comment, but from other posters on here it sounds like you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

You seem to underestimate yourself. Why the self-hate? As a Crew Chief at another airline, I hold no illusions about being "skilled" or not, but to say we're not a valuable piece of the puzzle is ridiculous. here is nothing wrong with wanting a living wage.
Of course they can downsize, but to actually out into print the license to do so is disgusting at best. The IAM should be ashamed at the willingness they have to throw stations under the bus. After all, you said everyone should be equal, right? What then, is the difference between a ramper in PHL and one in DFW?

Well all I can say is I hope the guys in Pit that will be let go are happy when ther 60 days are over that they go to the bottom pay scale,
No Im not an IAM upper managment Im just a frustrated ramper whos tired of making substandard wages. As far as gaining anything if we win all we gain is new and better wages.
The contract will remain with all the crap thats in it. To me that was not worth it.

Hell yeah ! i feel ya brother! This company doesn't even KNOW how pissed off we are ! That TA was like a knife in our hearts being twisted ....

Of course I can’t blame the east for voting down the TA , in fact I don’t , I blame this company and our union leadership for bringing back a contract that was destined to be voted down …..

WE ARE GOING TO GET OURS IN THE WEST , DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!!! DO YOU HEAR ME SANDCASTLE!!!!!!

Now I'll reply to you Freedom..............
Thank You... we've always been on the same team.
I would never sell you out and I hope you know that.
NEVER !

Thanks

Just a quick note for all. That I AM MANAGEMENT union negotiated possitive space travel for the AGC's and other union officials as part of the TA, if it was voted in. That just shows you that the IAM is more interested in the needs of the few and not the needs of the many.

The IBEW reps made a swing through Florida today....getting support and cards signed.
They were in FLL, MIA, JAX, and TPA.
Don't know how the other city's did but I hear that Bob Boland left TPA with over 55% of employees signed in one day!!!
It's great to see UNION leaders who are actually out there talking to the front-line people and answering questions.....What a refreshing change!!

This is how the I AM MANAGEMENT mentality is. In my station our local commitee man said, and I qoute "well there goes my trips". He is not worried about his fellow ramp agents just his "union sponsored trips" This is why the IAM must go. No respect for fellow employees, no respect for the members as a whole, just what is in it for themselves.

We have the right to organize and I hope the entire IBT committee swings over to the IBEW committee to get this done. I know I'm exercising my right and I am doing what I can to see the IBEW on the property. I can guarantee you this, ORD will be 99% signup for IBEW. Not much but you can bank on another 60 cards for the IBEW at ORD.

IBEW Report: You're right, Bobby went to TPA and cleaned house with over 50% signup in one day. I have been on the phone with PHX and LAS and I'm confident those two west stations will take care of what needs done 'very soon'. Other stations have reported in to the network and we will have to get them the IBEW cards also.

I'm sure it is 80% by now, but what I heard was accurate, she got 50% in one day which is great. Probably be closer to 100% by weekend.

Still waiting on the IBEW cards for ORD.

The snowball is on its way!IBEW  We are on the move. The meeting that happened in PHL served as the spearhead to something awesome. Bob is showing how a real leader does things. He was at the airport in TPA to show that even a small station has a voice. These small stations have been neglected for years. It was great to see a leader lead from the front and not from behind.
It is very important that we stand together or we will fall for anything. For all of you new people who work for Usairways take the time and check out the IBEW websites and see what they are about. We are about families and the communities that they live in. It is a proven fact that union members do everything in their power to purchase US made and Union made products before any others. This is why we must reinvest in ourselves by taking back our union and holding :cop: our leaders responsible for their actions.
Remember: With great power comes great responsibility! Doc Doesn't Blink!
